One of the biggest changes in this rankings cycle was the expansion of the 2027 rankings, creating opportunities for a new wave of prospects to earn their place on the board. Some of these players have steadily developed behind the scenes, while others caught our attention through updated film, camp performances, or strong junior seasons that warranted a closer look. Earning a spot in the rankings is never automatic, and each of these prospects did enough to separate themselves from a crowded field. Here are the newest additions to the 2027 Top 125 rankings.

2027 Jefferson LB Kyree Brooks returns to West Virginia and immediately re-enters the conversation among the top defenders in the state. After spending the past year at Cocoa Beach (FL), Brooks is back in WV and will suit up for the Cougars for his senior season and slides back into the #1 linebacker spot in the class. He held that distinction before leaving the state and remains one of the most talented linebackers in the 2027 cycle. Brooks was already drawing D1 attention after his move to Florida, and expectations will be high as he returns for his final high school season. With his combination of athleticism and proven ability, he has a chance to remind everyone why he was one of the state's most highly regarded prospects to begin with.

2027 Princeton EDGE Isaias Selen has been one of the more intriguing mysteries in the 2027 class for years, and we finally got the opportunity to evaluate his film heading into his senior season. The first thing that stands out is the athletic profile. At 6'3 215, Selen has the frame and athleticism that college coaches covet in an EDGE prospect. There is still plenty of development ahead of him, but the upside is easy to see once the tape starts rolling. Selen is far from a finished product, which is what makes his long-term potential so exciting. If he gets in front of college coaches at camps this summer, don't be surprised if he starts generating significant recruiting interest.

2027 Winfield K Jaxin Alexander earned his way into the rankings after a breakout junior season that established him as one of the top specialists in the state. Alexander put together an All-State campaign for the Generals, finishing a perfect 5/5 on field goals with a long of 42 yards while also converting all 20 of his PAT attempts. His consistency and production have already started drawing college attention, leading to offers from WV State and Marietta this offseason. Specialists often have to wait longer for recognition, but Alexander's junior performance made him impossible to overlook. Heading into his senior year, he has positioned himself as one of the top kicking prospects in West Virginia.

2027 Spring Valley DL/OL Judson Rich makes his debut in the rankings as the #10 defensive lineman in the class after finally getting a chance to evaluate his junior film. Rich flashed plenty of potential throughout the season and immediately stood out as a prospect worth adding to the board. He has the size to play multiple spots at 6'4 260, and could ultimately find a home on either side of the line at the next level. The defensive line projection wins out for now, but his offensive line upside is intriguing as well. Rich has the frame and developmental traits that should make him a priority target for D2 programs heading into his senior season.

2027 Morgantown K Aidan Petsko is another specialist who played his way into the rankings with an outstanding junior season. Kicking for the state champion Mohigans, Petsko was reliable whenever called upon, finishing a perfect 5/5 on field goals with a long of 37 yards while converting 39 of his 42 PAT attempts. He also made an impact on kickoffs, recording 21 touchbacks and consistently helping Morgantown win the field position battle. His performance has already been rewarded with an offer from West Liberty, and it's easy to see why college programs are taking notice. Petsko enters his senior season as one of the top specialists in the 2027 class and should be right back in the mix among the state's best kickers this fall.

2027 North Marion DB Blake Johnson earned his way into the rankings after continuing to build momentum throughout the offseason. Johnson brings a good combination of size and athleticism to the secondary, and college programs have started taking notice with an offer from Fairmont State already on the board. Johnson enters his senior season with a chance to become one of the top playmakers for the Huskies, and if he puts together the year we expect, additional college interest should follow.
