I wasn't intending for this piece to be part of a series. It's turned out that way, however. The first three parts have been linked above.

It'd been a minute since I checked on the recruitments of prospects in Iowa's 2027 Class. It was time to update their processes.

Here's a closer look at five talented guys still searching for college homes:

[player_tooltip player_id='1617589' first='Stanley' last='Cooper'], RB, Southeast Polk

Announced offers: None.

The Situation: Ok, so maybe Cooper just isn't into publicizing his recruitment on social media, where I gather most of the information for these stories. The only signs of him being pursued by the next level was him posting about his Iowa State visit on April 4. Some recruits prefer to operate behind the scenes, which is cool. However, if the Cyclones are the only ones involved at this point, a lot of other colleges are behind.

Playing against the best competition the state on a weekly basis, Cooper rumbled for 1,311 yards (8.5 YPC) and 17 touchdowns with the second-most carries on the team. The 6-foot, 225-pound back put together a junior highlight video displaying his capabilities.

It opens with him taking an inside handoff, bursting up the gut, flattening a linebacker and outracing the secondary from eventual state champion Dowling Catholic for a 75-yard touchdown. The rest of the film is filled with big runs resulting from power and speed. There's shiftiness and burst.

Cooper should take advantage of any college camp invitations during the next few months. And he still has a senior season to turn heads. But, man, it seems like programs are sleeping on this kid.

[player_tooltip player_id='2004458' first='Blake' last='Dorenkamp'], RB, West Des Moines Valley

Announced offers: Northwest Missouri State.

The Situation: I was intrigued with Dorenkamp's film and production throughout his junior season. Then I got a chance to scout him in person during the state semifinals against Dowling. He impressed, rushing for 104 yards (6.1 YPC) and his team's lone touchdown in a heartbreaking 14-10 loss to the eventual Class 5A champs.

His junior highlight video reveals a versatile back capable of dinging defenses in multiple ways. It opens with him bursting through a crease and racing 61 yards untouched until crossing the goal line. The second clip features him running a counter, getting to the edge and beating Dowling defenders to the end zone for a 33-scoring jaunt. The 5-foot-10, 208-pounder finished 2025 with 997 (5.2 YPC) and 12 touchdowns, and added 22 receptions for 206 yards.

Dorenkamp stands out for his athleticism, speed and agility, running on the Tiger 4x200-meter relay team that won the Drake Relays last month. The junior also reports 325 pounds on the bench press, so strength is not a problem.

Last season has sparked college interest. In January, Iowa State watched him work out at school, and Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz also dropped by Valley to speak with Dorenkamp. North Dakota State, North Dakota and South Dakota stopped in West Des Moines that month as well. He visited the Hawkeyes for spring practice in late March. Northwest Missouri State offered a scholarship in early May. Princeton, Lindewood, Drake and others invited him to junior days, while he's been invited to camps by, among others, Purdue, Rice and UAB.

[player_tooltip player_id='1827747' first='Cash' last='Parks'], QB, Xavier

Announced offers: South Dakota.

The Situation: Parks has been on the college radar since before he became Xavier's starting quarterback as a sophomore in 2024. Unfortunately, a car accident cost him time that season and likely attention along the recruiting trail. He bounced back with a huge junior campaign, quarterbacking the Saints to a state title and a 13-0 mark by completing 72.7 percent of his throws for 2,220 passing and 28 touchdowns against just two interceptions. He added 383 Rushing and 10 scores on the ground. I scouted him during the state semifinals and was impressed with how he delivered in clutch moments against a salty Newton defense.

It seems like colleges are taking a slower approach with Parks. He's receiving plenty of interest and is building relationships with programs. He'll try convincing them he's offer worthy at camps or with his performance in the fall. There's a really good chance that will be the case.

Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota State and Northern Illinois played host to Parks for in-season visits in the fall. Iowa State, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Drake and Northern Iowa visited him at Xavier during January. South Dakota stepped up with the first scholarship offer he reported on Feb. 9. He visited the Coyotes, Iowa, Northern Iowa (twice), South Dakota State, Southern Illinois and Lindenwood in recent months. Wyoming and UNI have been by the school during the last few weeks. Many of the schools listed and others have invited him to camps.

[player_tooltip player_id='1924920' first='Caden' last='Gray'], TE/WR, Bettendorf

Announced offers: None.

The Situation: Gray is a multi-sport athlete with a high-ceiling in football. With a projectable 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame, there's a good chance the upside can be reached if he focuses all of his attention on the gridiron. The rub there is that he's also a college basketball prospect that led the Bulldogs in rebounding and ranked second in scoring this winter.

Gray is reporting more interest from colleges for football right now. He is playing catchup in trying to respond to it after not being able to get out to as many junior days as he would have liked because they conflicted with hoops season.

Western Illinois, which is 80 miles from Bettendorf, played host to him for a spring-ball visit in April. He didn't make it to the junior day visits from St. Thomas, Minnesota Duluth and Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Gray is being under-recruited as it relates to potential. A college would do well to take a chance on molding this high-end athlete. The payoff could be significant.

[player_tooltip player_id='2089998' first='Griffin' last='Glynn'], WR/DB, Kuemper Catholic

Announced offers: None.

The Situation: Production was not a problem for Glynn during Kuemper's unbeaten run to a state championship in the fall. The junior led the squad in receptions (56) and receiving yardage (1,013), and his 11 touchdowns tied for tops on the team. He also recorded 42.0 tackles (29 solo), a TFL, a sack and five interceptions. He averaged 42.6 yards on seven kick returns, taking a pair of them back to the house.

Colleges noticed what Glynn accomplished. South Dakota and Iowa State visited with him at the school this offseason. The Coyotes, Northern Iowa, St. Thomas, Drake, South Dakota State and Minnesota State invited him to junior days.

The recruitment seems light relative to talent. There's plenty of physical projection remaining for his 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. The ability and potential shine through during his junior highlight video. He could be a receiver. He could be a tight end. He could be a linebacker. He could be a defensive back. That's a lot of options.
