Twitter Mania Continues... Part IV

We will finish this month out with a few more articles recapping the last groups of athletes and then it will be time to focus completely on our live summer camp coverage. Today's group of athletes features athletes from the Classes of 2027-2029. This group also has a really solid cross-section of small and large school athletes.So let's dive in and watch some tape and give our takeaways on these athletes!    The sophomore out of La Crosse Central was able to carve out a role for the varsity this past season. The DE/Edge was able to make a noticeable impact attacking off the edge. Oliver is a raw prospect, but he is flashing the tools and technique that should continue to develop and make him a name very well worth knowing. Oliver has a solid get off, plays with really good awareness of what is going on around him so he can find ways to impact plays. The tape also shows that he will flash some active hands that can execute pass rush moves to get past OTs. Oliver also shows a high motor and will battle through multiple blocks to get to the football. Check out his tape for yourself.      Austin is a sophomore that is not afraid to do the dirty work on the football field. In 2025 we saw Austin play LB and center for the varsity. At 6' 195 lbs Austin fits the LB role really well. On tape he shows that he is a downhill, thumper of an LB. He is at his best vs the run game where he can attack and fill his gap violently. Austin has tape showing that he can power his way through OL to get to the ball. Especially if he is able to make it so that he only has to beat half a man with his angles. Austin also shows good eyes for finding the ball, reading the flow of the OL, and mirroring the RB in the backfield to meet them in the hole.      We have already talked about Josiah a few times since the start of the 2025 season. The freshman was all over the field for the Whitnall JV, playing QB, DB, RB, and punter along with returning kicks also. That variety of roles is viable because the 5'11" 170 lbs 2029 is so athletic. His tape shows the top end speed to make the big chunk plays, the sudden agility to play tight coverage or make guys miss in tight spaces. Torres also has some really good ball skills. The tape shows a young playmaker who has that special knack for making things happen. I can't wait to see it carry over to Friday nights.      This is a fun athlete to watch in the Class of 2027, and after watching him more in depth I think we see him climb our rankings this summer. Grayson is a 2027 RB with serious track speed. He runs a 10.93 100M so there is no doubting what he can do when Grayson hits the open field and only needs to beat angles downfield. What separates Arn from other speed backs is that this kid will absolutely run angry. We see a lot of his film highlighting carries between the tackles and in those scenarios the 2027 RB has shown he can punish defenders with his contact balance and aggressive running style. Grayson takes the contact to the defender and is outstanding at rolling with the punches without losing his balance. I highly recommend checking this kid out and getting him on campus this summer.      Luke is a wrecking ball coming off the edge for the River Falls defense. The 6'1" 225 lbs 2027 plays more off the ball OLB, but still attacks off the edge from that alignment. Luke has the acceleration to be effective despite that deep starting point. He also has the lateral mobility to play out in space. We see the '27 also come on more delayed blitzes where he more reads the chance to go get the football than actually being sent on a blitz. His size, range, and football IQ put him in a lot of positions to make plays. That should set him up for a big summer as well. Don't miss out on the River Falls LB.      One of the top pure edge rushers in the Class of 2027 is Arrowhead's [player_tooltip player_id='1639174' first='Keith' last='Willingham']. The 6'2" 225 lbs DE/Edge should be stepping into a larger role this fall. A role he can show off all his next level tools. Keith is able to get off the line with a quick burst and has the balance and body control to be able to dip and bend under or around OL. The speed is also there from the Arrowhead edge defender to be able to chase down the ball out in space or make the chase down tackle from behind. This summer will be the launching pad for what should be a well pursued defensive player. I'm hoping to catch up with him at camps this summer myself.      This should be a very exciting TE to follow over the next two seasons. Cooper is a 6'4" 215 lbs 2028 TE for Thorp, an 8 Man team in central WI. The big man stands out from the crowd on his tape, and the way he uses his frame to easily box out DBs and secure catches jumps out too. His ability to go high point it and have strong hands through contested catches also are major strengths of his. His size, hands, and smooth athleticism while route running have Cooper on the path towards being a TE that schools need to have on their radars. I highly recommend taking a look at this tape. He is a mismatch in the making.      Eyob projects as a LB/S hybrid. He is undersized for your typical LB, but he does so well playing in the box and on the edge. Eyob is an excellent athlete and it gives him the range to fly around the field from sideline to sideline chasing down the football. The 2027 athlete shows a really solid base of football IQ, sniffing out plays and always being in the right spot to make an impactful play. His speed off the edge also allows him to make an impact as a pass rusher. I'm excited to see how the versatile athlete performs this summer.
