In the last couple of weeks we have been taking a look at the stat lines of some of the top returning multi-positional talent on both sides of the ball and on special teams as they prepare for this fall.

We started out on offense, shifted gears to defense and then last week looked at the special team ballers, with an emphasis on the stacked class of 2028.

In this report we are taking a look at who scored the most touchdowns from another loaded class - the ballers from the class of 2029 - the guys who just wrapped up their first year of varsity last fall.

And, not surprising, there are some familiar names from recent reports, in particular: [player_tooltip player_id='1582714' first='Blake' last='Thomas'], WR/ATH, BVSW, '29, who piled up 3X more receiving yards than the next closest freshman receiver and shows up below as #3 in TDs scored; and [player_tooltip player_id='2127985' first='Brixton' last='Schwinn'], QB/ATH, Jefferson West, '29, who had almost 600 more total yards and twice as many TD passes as the next closest freshman QB. He makes the TDs scored list at #T4 below.

I knew they were special when one of the best in the business, K-State Director of Player Personnel, Taylor Braet @spedbraet, had already visited Blake (May 13) and then two days later stopped by to see Brixton on (May 15).

The other three ballers on this list are dynamic 3-way playmakers in their own right but have been flying under the radar somewhat getting their varsity careers started. However, with the kind of game these guys brought last year, they will be getting the spotlight sooner rather than later.

So, without further adieu, let's see who stepped up as the '29 TD Scoring Leaders from last fall:

[player_tooltip player_id='2127990' first='Tatum' last='Eisenbarth'], 5'9, 165, RB/ATH, Jackson Heights, '29 - Numero Uno with 10 TDs - when the dust settled, this rising star was the TD-scoring champ among freshman. A versatile all-purpose back, defender and special team ace, he has the speed and athleticism to impact the game in a variety of ways; on offense had 54 carries for 615 yards, averaging 11+ yards per carry and scored 7 TDs; caught 10 passes for 207 yards, averaging 20.7 and scored a pair of TDs; had 123 return yards, averaging 41+ yards per return and took one to the house; he also had 35T and 1 TFL on defense. He is ready to shift into overdrive this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2127994' first='Angel' last='Gonzalez'], 5'9, 175, RB/DB/ATH, Stanton County, '29 - #2 with 9 TDs - next up and in close pursuit of the TD-scoring title was another young baller flying under the radar somewhat but put together an outstanding freshman season. On the year he had 81 carries for 584 yards, averaging 7.2 yards per and scored 4 TDs; caught four passes for 100 yards, averaging 25 per and added two TDs, had 358 yards in returns, including 2 kick and 1 punt return scores and averaged a state-leading 32+ per kick return. On defense he was a ballhawk defender coming out of the secondary to make 48T, 3 TFL and had 3 picks - all in 8 games! This guy is ready to burn it up this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1582714' first='Blake' last='Thomas'], WR/ATH, 5'11, 195, Blue Valley SW, '29 - #3 with 8 TDs - this high-profile baller needs no intro, as he was a rare 5A Freshman All-State WR and lethal return man last fall. His game is generational but behind the scenes is a focused, dedicated grinder who puts in the work to make himself better and is a force multiplier in action making those around him better as well. Once the season closed he got busy showcasing his next-level tools against elite competition at D1 camps and grinding through his intense year-around training. In track he blazed his way to a 10.89 100m, ran one of the fastest 200m in his class and was on the record-breaking 4x1 relay. He has a busy June ahead of him with commitments to camps at Missouri, Iowa State, KSU, KU and Arkansas. The Wolfpack is in good hands with this guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2127985' first='Brixton' last='Schwinn'], 6'3, 205, QB/ATH, Jefferson West, '29 - #T4 with 5 TDs - and, in the same breath, we have a freshman gunslinger who posted rare numbers last fall as well. A talented dual-threat QB in his first year of varsity, he passed for 2,400+ yards, completing 65% and had 37 total TD's. Of that last number five were scores that tied with Dohle (below) for the #4 spot in TDs scored last fall. With good size, athleticism and a run-pass combo game that dismantles defenses in a hurry, he has also been grinding in the off-season to get better. His busy off-season continues to ramp up after making the All-Camp team at the FBU Camp in April, had a good performance at the @varsitycombine1 earlier this month and will be in Manhattan today competing at the K-State Camp. This guy is just gettin' warmed up, sit back and enjoy for the next three years.

Jayden Dohle, 5'11, 175, WR/DB/ATH, Columbus, '29 - #T4 with 5 TDs - and last but certainly not least, we have an electric 3-way playmaker who carried the ball 14 times for 152 yards, averaging 11 yards per and had a pair of TDs, including a 73-yard score. Through the air he caught 3 passes for 105 yards, averaging 25 yards a pop, which included an 80-yard TD reception. As a return man he was particularly dangerous as he piled up 500+ yards in kick returns (29+ yard average) and punt returns (19+ average) and ran two back for TDs. He is a threat to take it to the house on any play, with decisive cuts, lateral quickness and the speed to run to daylight. This guy is a highlight reel waiting to happen.

In conclusion, get out and see these guys own it this fall - you will not be disappointed. Also, DM me via X if you run across any players flying under the radar.

And, as usual…
