Recruiting Report: Dual State Focus on Recent Georgia Tech Offers

It's been a busy offseason for Rogers, who has emerged as a premier EDGE defender out of AL in the 2027 class. He has real speed to power potential, especially as he adds more strength and power to his game. He is an outstanding pursuer, good enough to slide back and play off the ball if needed. He masterfully attacks weak points of blockers, and is capable of nickel-and-diming his way around traffic to get to the football. Rogers is a high upside player who can run and get after the football from any spot on the field.     Law picked up offer number 1 from Georgia Tech, which will likely get the ball rolling for others the rest of the spring. He hovers around 6'3 270 and will likely project on the interior, at least if his height stays steady. Even then, he has the foot speed and athleticism to play up and down the line. Law is a strong player with an elite anchor, staying engaged through the whistle and maintaining good pad-level while balancing. Law is just a rock solid player, and given his age, there is likely still another level for him to unlock.     Lewis, now at Milton, tacked on an offer from Georgia Tech, which should get the ball rolling again in this recruitment. Lewis can play both ways, but will settle in as a WR prospect. Lewis, especially for a smaller receiver, can threaten the field vertically and help take the top off the defense. He maintains his speed throughout the route and does a spectacular job of settling down and working concepts back towards the QB. Expect more P4 buzz this offseason for Lewis.     This is my first look at Cannon, who has maintained P4 and FBS attention on the recruiting trail for a year now. Cannon is a slot projection from a size standpoint, but his ability to eliminate cushion and threaten the field vertically gives him true inside-out ability. He is incredibly sudden and explosive off the line, quickly finding his top gear and maintaining it through releases and over long distances. He leaves DBs reeling and his strides are hard to match, and he executes on the ball with his tracking and body control. Cannon can roll, and he plays bigger than listed down the field.     This isn't my first look at Bennett, who has actually been one of my favorite 2028 OL prospects in AL since I watched him about a year ago. Bennett, now up to 280, is a well-rounded player on the offensive front with position versatility. His size and play style will project best to the interior, but he can roll in space and has the foot speed to stick at a tackle spot if needed. Regardless, the intrigue here is set by his motor and violence. He works through the whistle and can levee devastating contact on defenders, especially when he gets rolling downhill. I love the floor here, and given he has two years to continue developing, I am intrigued with his ceiling, too.     Jones is a youngster and still a puppy, but still has several FBS and P4 offers before fully breaking onto the varsity scene, which you can thank his traits for. He is all of 6'6 330, and in the clips I've seen, he actually moves pretty well for his size, even more impressive for his age. Being that big with functional athleticism and flashes of a hot motor is just a ridiculous combination, all things considered. Will watch this kid closely, as he has a very real chance to develop into a blue-chipper.     This isn't my first look at Jones, who popped on my radar late last fall. Since then, he has seen his stock rise over the last few months. Jones projects out as an LB and has a lot of space to add to his long, lean frame. He has the range and athletcism to play over a TE in the slot, or just slide out and play as a big nickel. He is plenty equipped speed-wise to run around the field, but he is a patient pursuer and leverages the ball carrier well in space. Plenty of tread on the tires here.     Georgia Tech was the first P4 offer for Charles, who is coming off a breakout fall as a sophomore. Charles checks the size boxes and is still leggy, so there is plenty of space for him to bulk up and fill out. He is a sudden athlete who makes powerful cuts and maintains his acceleration through those cuts, which allows him to quickly and efficiently jump across the face of defenders and into new running lanes. Charles is a rock-solid runner who is only going to get better. Expect more P4 schools to check in here.     It's been a big offseason for Dyson, who has exploded onto the P4 recruiting scene this offseason. Dyson, a three-sport athlete, is a strong player with true dual-threat abilities. At his size, I would project him more as a power-style runner, but he has the burst to create explosives with his legs. He has a quick, explosive release with easy spin on the ball. Everything Dyson does is powerful. He reminds of me of '27 Lowndes QB [player_tooltip player_id='481378' first='Jayce' last='Johnson'].     Wessel is receiving national buzz as a TE prospect and has emerged as a top name at the position in GA. Wessel is a massive player and just an impossible guard for his level of competition. He is a natural mismatch thanks to his size and athleticism, and he also can drag defenders after the catch. He checks the boxes, so we can expect his game to translate, even if it takes some seasoning with the jump in competition. Not much to overthink here. He is how they're supposed to look.
