Recruiting Report (5/26)- Last Week's Offers and Commitments

We're back with a new Recruiting Report!   Today, we're diving into some recent news across the state. These prospects have had huge months, so we're diving into all the latest surrounding their recruitment.   As always, make sure you watch their film below! [player_tooltip player_id='1610226' first='Jatori' last='Williams'] is a dominant OL prospect from Central who made a huge decision this past week.   “At 6'5 320, Williams has the size, strength, and quickness to dominate anyone who lines up across him. He's physical in the trenches, can open up massive opportunities in the run game, and is seriously tough to beat in pass protection.   Williams has elite athleticism at his size. He's quick and can move around the field with ease, plays with terrific leverage, and can make impact blocks at the line of scrimmage and further upfield. Williams is one of those guys you can count on to help your team in so many ways- it's impressive seeing how talented and well-rounded he is.   Williams made news last week when he announced his commitment to Miami! With their track record of developing guys in the trenches the last few years, I think we can expect huge things from Williams at the next level. It'll be a ton of fun to watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='378345' first='Ba'Roc' last='Willis'] is an dominant defender from Pell City who made a big announcnment this past week.   “At 6'3 225, Willis is an athletic force off the edge who can hurt offenses in several different ways. Willis is terrific against the run- he explodes off the snap, collapses the edge, and consistently works into the backfield to create huge stops behind the line of scrimmage.   Willis is equally dominant as a pass rusher- he has a wide variety of moves he uses to beat OTs into the backfield and consistently generates pressure and places huge hits on the quarterback.“   Willis committed to Colorado last week, giving Coach Prime and the Buffaloes a disruptive, dominant EDGE in their next recruiting class.   Willis is going to have a ton of success at the next level, it's easy to tell when you watch any of his tape from the last three years:      [player_tooltip player_id='1653616' first='Matthew' last='McIntyre'] is a physical TE from Mars Hill Bible who recently found his home at the next level.   "I'm really impressed with McIntyre's versatility- he's a physical blocker down on the line of scrimmage who can also produce as a pass catcher. McIntyre opens up tons of opportunities for his teammates at the line. He explodes off the snap, plays with great strength and leverage, and easily drives back defenders to create wide rushing lanes.   McIntyre is just as productive as a pass catcher. At 6'3 230, he has great size, speed, and twitch he uses to create separation and haul in receptions all over the field. It's impressive seeing how McIntyre uses his size to dominate DBs. He's a physical pass catcher who can bring in catches over the top and through contact."   McIntyre announced he'd committed to Jacksonville State! I love what Jax St. has been building in the last year, especially with all of their in-state recruiting. I think McIntyre's bound to find a bunch of success underneath that staff. We'll all have to watch out.      [player_tooltip player_id='1665748' first='Christian' last='Bennett'] is a dominant 2028 OL who's been taking over the recruiting scene over the last few months.   "Bennett is already an incredibly reliable LT for Clay Chalkville- he opens up a ton of opportunities for his teammates in the run game and provides great pass protection upfront for his QB.   At 6'3 250, Bennett already has the size and athleticism to dominate at the position. He's incredibly strong, plays with great bend and leverage, and has the power and quickness to fight off a wide variety of defensive linemen in the trenches."   Bennett has seen his recruitment take off this offseason, especially in the month of May. He's added new offers from UCLA, Auburn, and plenty of other top-tier programs in the last week. "Richmond is a versatile linebacker who can make impact plays on and off the ball in a variety of different ways. Richmond is a force at EDGE. He's a dominant run defender with an unstoppable motor and impressive strength, which he uses to fight off blockers and get to the RB for huge stops.   Richmond is just as disruptive off the line of scrimmage. He has the speed and instincts to quickly locate the ball and cover ground to come up with huge stops all over the field."   In the last week, Richmond has picked up offers from Oklahoma State, Memphis, USF, Charlotte, and Mercer!   To say Richmond is having an exciting offseason would be an understatement; he's quickly become one of the more sought-after defenders in the state, and I think he's just getting started.
