Closes plays, love his leg drive and motor that allows him to finish shutting down runs. Wins early, which helps him get penetration. Coaches will call his weight at DL a risk factor, he'll have to maintain and/or gain a bit to hold his own in the trenches at the D2 level. Also love the fact he could contriute and be an impact player while stationed at tackle, despite Joynes not fitting the typical tackle mold. A wreck-the-pocket type of interior disruptor. Likely needs development when talking about his pass-rush capabilities, although I doubt he gets recruited to do so. Pad level looks solid especially off the snap, wins using leverage early which excites me. Offensive and defensive reps can be witnessed in his tape, yet he looks most natural aligned at OG. Explosive lower body, this kid has a power base that moves much better than I imagined prior to tape plug-in. A striker who wants to get his hands on you and finish. Has no problem being violent toward the end of blocks. Movement ability and lateral quickness is his strong suit. Looks like a monster in the weight room, would love to know if his 2nd-sport is wrestling, it fits the mold.
