NY Exposure: Linebackers That Lit it Up

One of the more talented units, I was impressed by the speed and intensity these linebackers brought into each rep. He brought an impressive blend of size, range, and fluid athleticism, moving far more efficiently in space than most players with his frame. Whether working downhill or opening up in coverage, Mycul stayed under control and showed the ability to redirect quickly without losing momentum. He was especially effective reading running backs out of the backfield, diagnosing routes early and putting himself in position to disrupt passing lanes. His longer limbs helped him square up ball carriers effectively, and he rarely got fooled by flashy footwork or misdirection in space. He showed strong movement skills in space, consistently chopping his feet while mirroring running backs and reacting quickly to their movements. Tim's ability to turn the corner and accelerate stood out throughout the event, allowing him to pursue ball carriers effectively and force plays toward the sideline. He consistently played with urgency and intent, shooting upfield to meet ball carriers early and limit any room for gains. He has a presence in the middle of the defense that can command a defense, as his physicality and tackling mindset makes him a difficult player for runners to avoid in space. Truesdale also showed strong reaction skills; closing distance with authority and quickness that is rare for his size. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
