New Names: Talented 2027 Prospects to Watch

Welcome back!   We've highlighted so much of Alabama's talented 2027 class, and still haven't scratched the surface! Today, we're taking a look at some New Names on our lists, and trust us, you'll want to look out for them this upcoming fall.   As always, make sure you take a look at their film below! You won't want to miss out on this kind of talent.    [player_tooltip player_id='2206843' first='Caylin' last='Buycks'] is a talented DB in Carver's secondary who really impressed in his junior season last fall.   "Buycks is seriously skilled in coverage and presents a ton of hurdles for opposing passing attacks to deal with. He's physical at the line and has the quickness and speed to stick with WRs all over the field. I'm really impressed with how Buycks attacks the ball. He has great timing and impressive hands that he uses to consistently contest and break up passes from whoever he's guarding.   Buykcs is just as productive defending the run. He's quick and instinctive, is a great tackler, and has impressive pursuit skills that he uses to fly around the field and create impact plays every carry. There's a lot to like with Buycks game- I think we're going to see a ton from him this upcoming season."   Buycks has had a busy offseason, picking up two offers from UT Martin and North Alabama.   I think Buycks is in for a big year this upcoming fall. He brings a ton of talent to Carver's defense and will definitely be a player everyone should be on the lookout for.      [player_tooltip player_id='1907043' first='Walker' last='Collins'] is an explosive WR from Bayside who had a huge season in his team's passing attack last fall.   "As soon as you flip on Collins' tape you'll see how dominant he is with the ball in his hands. Collins shreds opposing secondaries with his speed, elusiveness, vision, and creativity after the catch. He finds some really impressive ways to shake defenders every time he gets the ball in open space, creating some video game-type highlight plays in the process.   Collins is seriously explosive and can create massive plays out wide in several different ways. He's a dominant deep threat who can easily burn DBs downfield, who can also turn screens and other shorter passes into huge gains as well. Collins is a really complete threat outside who has a huge year ahead this upcoming fall. We're all going to have to watch."   A little while back, Collins picked up his first offer from North Alabama! With his talent, I won't be surprised if more attention heads his way soon- we'll have to be on the lookout.   Collins made a ton of huge plays last fall, and I think we can expect to see plenty more of that this upcoming season. Be sure to watch some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2206849' first='Derick' last='Durgan'] is a dominant DB from Saraland who really impressed us with his film from last fall.   "Durgan is a rangy safety who was terrific over the top of Saraland's secondary this past season. Durgan is quick on his feet, great at seeing the field, and is highly reactive, flying all over the secondary to break up and pick off passes. It's especially impressive when you see that most of his PBUs are from him delivering huge hits to opposing WRs- he's a seriously physical defender you don't want to test.   I'm really impressed with Durgan's versatility as well. He's a high-effort defender who plays the run with great pursuit and aggression. No matter where he lines up pre-snap, you can count on him to fly in and create an impact."   Durgan has seen his name get out there a ton recently, picking up offers from North Alabama and Tuskegee!   Durgan is set up for a huge final season at Saraland this upcoming fall. We'll all have to look out for him.      [player_tooltip player_id='822265' first='Morgan' last='Butler'] is a dominant DL from Vestavia Hills we can expect huge things from this upcoming season.   "Butler is a force on the interior who dominates the run nearly every snap. At 6'3 320, he has terrific pursuit, and consistently takes great angles to create hustle stops all along the line of scrimmage.   I'm really impressed with Butler's quickness. He's really fast at his size and can spin, swim, and fly through blockers to get to the ball carrier. You rarely see a DL as large, strong, and quick on his feet as Butler. I think he's going to have a huge year on Vestavia Hills' front this upcoming fall. There's a ton to like with his game."   Butler has picked up two new offers from North Alabama and ETSU within the last week.   I think Butler has a huge season ahead of him this upcoming fall. He's a dominant defender who really impressed this past fall. Make sure you take a look at his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2206852' first='Vic' last='Darrington'] is a talented DB from Jackson who made a huge impact on his team's defense this past fall.   "[player_tooltip player_id='2206852' first='Vic' last='Darrington'] is a rangy, athletic safety who dominates every snap in Jackson's secondary. You can't ever doubt Darrington's speed- he's ridiculously fast and is great at recognizing plays, making him an every-down threat to opposing offenses. No matter what play is run, you can count on Darrington to be near the ball. He's a high-effort defender who uses his closing speed to create a ton of great plays in pursuit.   It's especially impressive seeing Darrington's speed at work when he's in coverage; he consistently flies in to jar free and pick off passes, sometimes even taking them back for six. I think we're going to be hearing and seeing a ton from Darrington this upcoming year. He's a really talented defender."   Darrington is starting to see his recruitment open up this offseason, landing an offer from North Alabama recently.   Take a look at some of Darrington's film below, you'll definitely be impressed.
