The Kansas City Varsity combine wrapped the final of three combines this month with it's last one being in St. Louis, as it has the past three years. It was a stormy day with heavy rains at times, but there was a long enough break for the great talent that showed up to showcase their abilities and athleticism. Here is a look at the MVPs who were named on the day at various positions.

QUARTERBACK

[player_tooltip player_id='1198109' first='Jordan' last='Rasmussen'] I 2027 I Ft. Zumwalt West I
6'6" 207 - The tall quarterback with the rocket arm continued his strong spring with another QB MVP performance at KC Varsity after winning the QB MVP at the Elite combine back in March. Rasmussen showcased his skills of being able to make every throw around the field with ease, showing great accuracy, touch and velocity, with some great deep ball ability on display. His athleticism and mobility showed in testing along with his performance in one on ones and 7v7. Holds two colleges offers following camps and combines.

[player_tooltip player_id='1601158' first='Daylen' last='Austin-Harvey'] I 2028 I CBC I
5'11" 165 - The second QB MVP is more of a dual threat prospect who looks poised to take over the reigns of the dynamic CBC Cadet offense in 2026. Daylen showed great footwork and command of his throws on the day, with good timing and accuracy hitting receivers in drills, one on ones and seven on seven. He has a quick release and nice placement for his receivers to make the grab. He's also a talented athlete with good speed, quickness and agility.

RUNNING BACK

[player_tooltip player_id='1602873' first='Milano' last='Mitchell Jr.'] I 2028 I St. Mary's I
5'10" 190 - A name to watch for who had a big showing at the combine. Milano is a strong, physical back with speed and power, who did a great job showing his potential to not just make people miss with his quick feet, body control and acceleration, but also showed impressive pass catching ability to make him a dangerous threat as a receiver in drills, one on ones and 7v7. While he plays behind the top senior running back in the state, he looks ready to contribute to the Dragons run game in a big way this year.

WIDE RECEIVER

[player_tooltip player_id='1222940' first='Kingston' last='McPike'] I 2028 I CBC I
5'11" 181 - One of the top names who attended the KC Varsity in St. Louis was another earlier MVP winner at the Elite Combine back in March, and a player who already holds a D1 offer from Nebraska. The speedy McPike is a big time playmaker and showcased that on the day along with his super impressive athletic ability. Kingston can do it all as a receiver, with great hands, the ability to get separation easily, catch the ball in tight windows or get up and snatch the ball at it's highest point in a crowd and be a short, mid-range or deep threat. Look for a huge junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2198963' first='Liam' last='Corrigan'] I 2029 I Parkway West I
6'0" 170 - One of the top young prospects at the combine and in the state to get to know. Liam has shown that he has the potential to be an impressive receiver the past couple of years, but he is reaching a new level with his skills and athletic ability that looks like he is on the brink of breaking out as a sophomore on varsity, and putting his name out there among some of the other top receivers in the area and state. He has good speed, is quick and twitchy, runs very good routes, and shows impressive knowledge and poise for his young age. He still has a high ceiling to reach. Remember the name,

TIGHT END

[player_tooltip player_id='1312910' first='Max' last='Jones'] I 2028 I Parkway West I
6'5" 207 - Another high level recruit who attended the combine and walked away with an MVP was the talented hybrid receiver Jones, who has seen his recruitment really take off as of late with multiple D1 offers. Max is a big target who glides across the field picking up large chunks of ground to get open as every level, including as a deep threat. He is a real weapon with his speed and ability to be a first down and red zone threat with his athletic ability and hands. Runs like a receiver with the size of a tight end.

Sal Gianino I 2028 I Eureka I
6'4" 220 - The 2028 class in the state of Missouri may be the year of the Tight End. You already have multiple high level prospects who have earned D1 offers, along with some who will ultimately get theirs. And among the latter is the rising TE talent Gianino. Sal is a super athletic receiver with size who is a great blocker, but has shown me what a threat he has the potential to be in a passing game. He is quick, has speed, runs good routes and has really good hands. He made some great catches at the combine in one on ones that backed up what I saw earlier. He is also very strong and just scratching the surface as a football player. Should make everyone's recruiting board.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Isaiah Butler I 2027 I Cardinal Ritter I
6'4" 300 - The offensive line winner of the King of the Ring, which means he took home the WWE style heavyweight belt as a trophy. Butler had a tremendous day showing that he had good athleticism in warm ups, testing and drills, but really turned in on in one on ones where he went undefeated until the end that I saw. He did show with a combination of good feet, quickness, strength and technique to win his battles against some very talented defensive line prospects in attendance. His recruitment has continued to pick up and should based on his performance. He can help a lot of colleges out there.
