Talented Missouri Quarterbacks Still Seeking Their First Offer

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we near the end of the month of May, the 2026 high school football offseason is in full swing. With that in mind, I have been taking some time to evaluate some top prospects in the state of Missouri who are still seeking their first offer. When doing so, I have noticed that there are several very talented quarterbacks falling under the radar. He showed that he has the ability to scramble outside of the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Chupp also showed impressive arm strength and the accuracy to complete passes all over the field. As a junior, Derek completed 75/143 passes for 1,186 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also ran the ball 76 times for 220 yards and two touchdowns. He has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field with ease in the deep passing game. Chase has also shown impressive ball placement, putting his passes in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. He had a solid junior year, completing 104/208 passes for 1,485 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Barringer also ran the ball 61 times for 163 yards and a touchdown as a junior. He missed four games due to injury but was very productive when on the field, throwing for over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns. Shelley is an accurate passer, showing the ability to fit passes into tight coverage where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. He has also shown great composure under pressure, standing tall and completing passes while taking on contact. Braden has also shown some dual-threat ability, finishing this past season with 69 carries for 329 yards and seven touchdowns. Downing is coming off a strong sophomore season in which he threw for 2,416 yards, 34 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has impressive arm strength which he uses to stretch the field with ease in the deep passing game. Downing has also shown the mobility to escape pressure with ease followed by the awareness to still find the open receiver on the run. Kayden also scored two rushing touchdowns as a sophomore.
