With spring practices and college days under way, college camps looming large, and the upcoming fall season right around the corner, we are taking a look ahead at some under-the-radar prospects who plan to make a name for themselves over the next few months. Here are four standouts who pop on film and have taken their recruiting up a notch with strong showings during spring ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1180307' first='Bryor' last='Carmichael'] is a very good passer with a good arm, quick release, great touch on the deep ball and velocity over the middle of the field. Carmichael has a 6-foot-5, 210-pound frame and looks the part. Moreover, he is a high-academic prospect who can go to any school he wants. He could add a lot of value to a team in need of a downfield thrower. Last season, he totaled 2,629 yards passing and 26 passing touchdowns. Davenport, Saint Mary of the Woods, Franklin College and DePauw are his first offers.

Ducan Combs is another talented quarterback to make our notebook this week, having earned his first offer from Marian. Combs can fit the ball into tight windows, has a quick trigger and throws with zip between the hashes. Also has good touch on the deep ball, leads receivers in stride. Not a dual-threat, but much like Carmichael, he is a solid pocket passer. Threw for 2,420 yards and 27 total touchdowns last season with just eight interceptions. Possess great size at 6-foot-6, 200 pounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1184921' first='Maalik' last='Moore'] has the total package for Power 4 Division I teams: a great blend of size and speed with soft hands and great run-after-the-catch ability. The 6-foot-3, 192-pound receiver has great ball skills and body adjustment, he is quick to get downfield and press the field vertically after the catch. Austin Peay offered him after his college day workout in April, which was his first offer in nearly a year, and Illinois offered on May 19; expect more teams to vie for his services in the weeks to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='2065628' first='Nick' last='Schurman'] continues to see his hard work paying off. The 6-foot-4.5, 290-pound offensive tackle has great first step quickness, fires forward off the line of scrimmage, has very good physicality and drives his feet on contact. Schurman is a high-effort offensive lineman with big-time potential. Virginia, Stanford, Duke, Minnesota, Illinois and Indiana have all extended offers since late April.
