Elite 11 Finals: Day 2 Report

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Day 2 of the Elite 11 Finals was Saturday at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach, California.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The quarterbacks took place in The Accuracy Contest and The Pro Day. The Pro Day is 20 throws where quarterbacks complete the various throws that would be asked of them in a NFL Pro Day setting. He was ripping the ball down the field and is great in rhythm. He was leading guys on all the intermediate routes and placing the ball in near perfect spots. Every ball he threw was hard and he looked comfortable with all the footwork. The ball just jumps out of his hand and the receivers were talking about his arm strength being next level. He can spin it better than anyone and the ball was getting there in a hurry on the intermediate throws. He nailed the rail shot throw and the timing was great on the double seams. He was particularly strong rolling to his right and had good touch on the deeper throws. He won the Rail Shot challenge on night one and had an excellent pro day workout. He was hitting guys in stride on the seam routes and looked good on the in-breaking routes. I watched him closely in the accuracy challenge and he nailed some of the tougher targets of the day. He's a lefty and looked good rolling to his right and delivered good off-platform throws.
