. Houston has solid size, but everything he does is nearly perfect. He is a player who has shown time and time again that he is one of the better dual-threat’s in the class, and is a prospect who will make very minimal mistakes. Last season, he finished with fewer than a total of 10 interceptions, while also finishing with more than 40 passing touchdowns. He loves to test the defense deep and has one of the better deep balls in the class. He will be a reliable quarterback for years to come, and is one of my favorite players in the nation at the quarterback position. One could argue that he needs to be ranked higher than Haven, but both players make a great case, in my opinion.

Houston had an excellent pro day workout and a strong 7 on 7 performance on Sunday. He was one of the more accurate throwers throughout the camp and excels on short or intermediate throws. Houston gets the ball out on time and can put serious heat on his throws.

Houston’s accuracy stood out during the pro day portion. He was leading guys on all the intermediate routes and placing the ball in near perfect spots. Houston had a good idea of when to put heat on the ball and when to put touch under it.

“Pop” is a must-see talent for anyone who is a fan of high school football. His understanding of pass coverages and where the windows are on every play is really impressive, and his ability to hit every throw makes him truly elite. Houston rarely takes a sack due to his elusiveness in the pocket and makes defenses have to account for him in the run game.

Perhaps the most sought-after prospect in the state, “Pop” showed growth in his game. Houston managed his offense and empowered his supporting cast. The blue chipper is scheduled to make his commitment Sept 15th.
