<p>The defensive talent at the MS Showcase consistently answered the challenge throughout the event. Whether it was lockdown coverage, disruptive pass rushing, or elite athletic tools, this group forced offenses to earn every rep.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Thomas was one of the more technically refined defensive backs at the camp and consistently looked comfortable in every phase of coverage. His smooth backpedal and disciplined footwork allowed him to stay balanced through routes, while his physicality at the line disrupted timing and forced receivers to work for clean releases. He rarely gave away easy separation.</p>   <p>What stood out most was how naturally he moved for his size. Thomas showed fluid hips, above-average agility, and the ability to open and run without panic once routes pushed vertically. He consistently stayed in phase and closed air space quickly, making quarterbacks fit throws into tight windows.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">There was polish to his game that separated him from many of the other defensive backs in attendance. His hand usage consistently separated him from the field, showing efficient rip, pull, and swim moves while attacking blockers with a calculated approach rather than relying purely on athleticism. He understood how to set up rushes.</p>   <p>His burst off the snap and quick first step repeatedly created early advantages, but what made him dangerous was how he manipulated balance. Young consistently threatened inside and outside leverage, forcing offensive linemen into uncomfortable recovery situations before countering cleanly.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">There was polish to his pass-rush plan that stood out throughout the showcase. Despite a muscular build, he showed relatively fluid hips and moved comfortably throughout reps, which gave him legitimate three-down value across multiple situations.</p>   <p>His leverage consistently helped him compete at the point of attack, and he showed enough mobility to stay effective against quick game routes and vertical concepts. His production on the football separated him from the field, consistently turning tight coverage situations into pass breakups or takeaway opportunities. The ball skills were simply different.</p>   <p>What stood out most was his patience and confidence at the moment of truth. Island consistently stayed composed while in phase, showing strong reaction time and an advanced feel for undercutting routes or beating receivers to spots. He repeatedly anticipated throws before they fully developed. His verified-level speed, explosiveness, and frame immediately stood out, and he consistently showed the ability to match up with virtually any type of receiver throughout one-on-ones. Very few players could create lasting separation against him.</p>   <p>What made Harvey dangerous was his recovery ability and competitive toughness. Even when receivers initially gained leverage, his recovery speed and relentless attitude repeatedly brought him back into the rep where he disrupted plays at the catch point. He simply refused to stay beaten.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Beyond the traits, his instincts and footwork consistently flashed in competitive situations.
