Sophomore Spotlight: Top 2028s With High Potential

Thomas is a very good running back with great top-end speed and acceleration. He is dynamic in space, and if he is able to find a crease, he has enough top-end juice to go the distance and be a home-run threat. Thomas displays great juice and acceleration. Weber displays a quick release, strong arm, quick throwing motion and hits receivers in stride with accuracy on short/intermediate passes. He also flashes good touch and timing on the deep ball. He has a tall, strong, and athletic frame, at 6-foot-5, 246 pounds. He is hard to get around just due to his size and length. Has good use-of-hands, quick to engage and get his hands on rushers, and has adequate bend. Weitzel has good hand placement, timing and latch. I love his aggressiveness as a run blocker. On defense he plays with good bend, leverage and pad level, plugging the middle against the run and requiring multiple blockers, allowing others to clean up the play.
