A lot of prospects across Tennessee have emerged and etched their names as stars in their respective classifications. With the transfer portal calmed down, for now, I'm scouting the top players at each position in each class.

Next in this series, I'll discuss Division II-AAA wide receivers. Here's a scouting report of my top pass catchers in DII-AAA.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='378855' first='Kesean' last='Bowman'] – Brentwood Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='378855' first='Kesean' last='Bowman'] is one of the most gifted wide receivers in the nation for his class, offering the size, athleticism and polished skills that have earned him a unanimous top-100 ranking. He's the top dog for his position in Tennessee, while being No. 8 overall by Rivals' Industry Rankings.

He's well-built, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 175 pounds in a longer frame that gives him a large catch radius and the build to win contested matchups. Bowman is a good athlete with the speed to outrun many defensive backs, and he is elusive, allowing him to be productive all over the field and after the catch. The rising senior has shown the ability to make tough grabs, giving him the skill set to produce in several ways.

Bowman recently committed to the Tennessee Volunteers, but had offers from just about every program in America. You'd like to see him become more polished in certain areas, but this young man is incredibly talented and should make for a good receiver at the next level.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1586170' first='Gabriel' last='Cabell'] – Christ Presbyterian Academy

Gabriell Cabell at CPA is one of the most talented players in his class. The younger brother of Vanderbilt signee [player_tooltip player_id='824736' first='Owen' last='Cabell'] possesses impressive size for his age and stands out among his peers with his traits and raw skills.

The rising junior stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 200 pounds, making him one of the bigger wide receivers in the state, and he'll only continue to grow. Cabell runs track, which has helped him become a more explosive athlete. He excels in that sport, notching a 10.75 in the 100-meter dash last year, a highly impressive time for someone as big as him.

This past season, he totaled just 158 receiving yards and a score, but was a big-play threat for the Lions. Cabell averaged over 22 yards per catch, which excites me, as he'll get a bigger workload as a junior. He possesses crisp route-running, strong hands, the ability to high-point the football and the ability to create separation from defensive backs.

It's a lazy comp, given that he's also from Tennessee, but Cabell has a similar skill set to Indiana's Charlie Becker.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1410131' first='Lexton' last='Baskin'] – Brentwood Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='1410131' first='Lexton' last='Baskin'] is a talented receiver but was underutilized in 2025 because Brentwood Academy had so many weapons on offense. However, the 2027 prospect is quietly one of the top players in his class and is poised for a big senior season.

Baskin can line up on the outside or inside and can be used on screens as well as to take the top off defenses. The rising senior possesses solid size for the position, standing 6-foot and weighing 170 pounds with great athleticism, elusiveness to create after the catch and other impressive physical tools.

Baskin is a rather polished receiver with high upside at the next level. He's a top 30 player in his class and holds 10 offers, but could blow up in the next few months.

Photo: McCallie WR [player_tooltip player_id='1455068' first='Levi' last='Scott III'] at a Prep Redzone camp.

2029 [player_tooltip player_id='1455068' first='Levi' last='Scott III'] – McCallie School

[player_tooltip player_id='1455068' first='Levi' last='Scott III'] played a significant role at McCallie as a freshman, which isn't common. In 13 games, he recorded 764 all-purpose yards, including 491 off receptions and five touchdowns as their No. 2 option.

He's an undersized player at 5-foot-7 and 135 pounds. However, Scott III has the athleticism and raw skills to produce at a high level, despite his lack of physical size. The rising sophomore fits the mold of a gadget guy with his speed and ability to be used on screens and pitches, but he's much more than just that.

He can take the top off opposing defenses, as well as make tough grabs and take hits over the middle of the field. The 2029 prospect can also line up anywhere, giving him that do-it-all skill set that college coaches love. Once he grows, he's going to be a nightmare for opposing teams to stop.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1118087' first='Eli' last='Ferguson'] – Brentwood Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='1118087' first='Eli' last='Ferguson'] is the third player from Brentwood Academy on this list, so it's safe to say that they have an elite group of guys at this position. He was a productive player this past season, catching 30 passes for 600 yards and several scores, while fighting for touches.

Ferguson stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 180 pounds with a well-built frame and the athleticism that makes him a dangerous player whenever he steps between the white lines. He can do it all for the Eagles, but he excels as a deep threat. The 2027 prospect has good speed and release that allow him to beat most defensive backs off the line, then he uses those impressive hands to haul in most everything.

While he's an excellent deep ball receiver, Ferguson is also reliable in the short and intermediate game. He's a good route runner, has nice cuts, possesses good instincts and has strong hands. The rising senior is a good player right now and has nice upside at the next level.
