A lot of prospects across Tennessee have emerged and etched their names as stars in their respective classifications. With the transfer portal calmed down, for now, I'm scouting the top players at each position in each class.

Next in this series, I'll discuss Division II-AAA tight ends. Here's a scouting report of my top hybrid pass catchers in DII-AAA.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1260422' first='Brady' last='Lewis'] – Baylor School

[player_tooltip player_id='1260422' first='Brady' last='Lewis'] recently announced his transfer to Baylor, giving the Red Raiders another good pass catcher. He possesses good physical traits, a high motor and high upside as a receiving tight end. The rising senior doesn't get the respect that he deserves, but he's a quality player with FBS potential.

He offers good size, standing nearly 6-foot-4 and weighing 230 pounds in a long, athletic frame that allows him to maintain movement. Lewis owns a 4.65 40-yard dash time, allowing him to be a mismatch nightmare to most defensive backs. He impresses with his fluidity as a tight end, along with solid footwork and sound blocking skills.

Going to Baylor was a great decision, as he will be catching passes from a four-star quarterback and having other weapons in his offense, forcing teams to play him straight up. I've been high on Lewis for a minute, but this should be the season where he puts it all together and proves that he is one of the best players in Tennessee.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1201841' first='Braxton' last='Rein'] – Baylor School

[player_tooltip player_id='1201841' first='Braxton' last='Rein'] is an excellent talent at tight end, offering everything that you want for that position, along with production at a young age. This past season, he was one of the best players in Tennessee, earning Prep Redzone All-State Second Team honors. He has huge upside as a receiver, but also possesses the blocking ability to be a complete player at the next level.

The rising junior offers good size, standing 6-foot-6 and weighing 235 pounds, with an athletic frame. While he's a big guy, Rein is a fluid mover with impressive route running. He's coming off a good 2025 season, but the 2027 prospect is only improving.

Rein's blocking skills are solid, but should get better over the next two years, which is the only area you'd like to see him be better at. The Baylor tight end is already a blue-chip guy, but once he becomes more polished in certain areas, Rein will be unstoppable.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1847747' first='Bennett' last='Conyers'] – Montgomery Bell Academy

Montgomery Bell Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='1847747' first='Bennett' last='Conyers'] has been a recruiting riser in 2026. Over the last three months, the tight end has picked up nearly 20 offers from high-profile schools, including Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss and others. He's an intriguing prospect who has receiving upside, along with a high motor and good blocking skills to be a three-down player.

After adding good weight this past offseason, he stands nearly 6-foot-4 and weighs 215 pounds in a lean frame. Conyers is extremely athletic and moves like a receiver. In fact, he lines up outside frequently and is used on screens, which shows how physically gifted he is. The rising junior isn't just a receiving tight end; he's nasty in the trenches, showing physicality and the desire to pancake defenders when they bump him on the line.

He's arguably the best tight end in this classification, and he's not done developing, which is a scary thing for opposing teams. Conyers still needs to add weight to maximize his potential at the position, but he's shown the ability to do that.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1857395' first='Axel' last='Yobo'] – McCallie School

[player_tooltip player_id='1857395' first='Axel' last='Yobo'] from McCallie is one of the more underrated players heading into the 2026 season, but he has the potential to break out as a top tight end in Tennessee. He's an intriguing prospect with that blend of speed, fluidity and size.

The rising senior is well-built, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 225 pounds, with a lean, athletic frame that allows him to maintain his movement.

The 2027 prospect is freakishly athletic, possesses sound technique, good hands and upside as a receiver. I like his potential as a pass catcher, but his calling card is blocking, where McCallie used him as a sixth lineman last season. Yobo has been coached extremely well in that department, giving him something to lean on.

He has the potential to be a complete player, but he did not see targets last season with how many mouths that offense had to feed. But, with the graduation of their WR1, Yobo could have an excellent senior season with an increased role.

Photo: Ensworth TE [player_tooltip player_id='1952678' first='Teddy' last='Graff'] at a Prep Redzone camp.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1952678' first='Teddy' last='Graff'] – Ensworth School

[player_tooltip player_id='1952678' first='Teddy' last='Graff'] is next up for Ensworth, possessing an intriguing skill set as a tight end. He's one of the best blockers at his position, but has receiving upside due to his size. The rising senior stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds in a long, athletic frame that gives him a huge advantage over most defenders.

He's too big for defensive backs, but has a little bit of wiggle to shake linebackers. While Graff isn't the most explosive player, he doesn't need to be given his size and strong hands. Ensworth used him primarily as a blocker, where he excels, but the 2027 prospect has shown the ability to be productive when they do throw his way.

Graff should see more targets this upcoming season, where he could break out as one of the top tight ends in his class. He's raw in certain areas, but there is a lot of upside and potential to be a solid Division I player.
