Mondesir Showcases Strong Fundamentals, Tough Play on the D-Line

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of my guiltiest pleasures when ranking prospects for Prep Redzone New Jersey is picking-and-choosing to highlight prospects that I thought had outstanding film. As part of our class of 2027 player rankings update, I get to highlight those prospects who put on a show with their highlight reels. A bit of an undersized interior defender, Mondesir must be the product of some outstanding coaching as he manages to win with strong fundamentals. On tape we see that he recognizes and fights reach blocks well - all the while keeping enough separation to arm-over into the adjacent gap. Mostly a 3-tech, he has played at the nose. When there, we see Mondesir do a great job of fighting double teams too, holding the point of attack and not getting driven off of the ball, at a minimum. Offensively a guard, he keeps his head on a swivel when unblocked in pass protection, while also showing a great chop-and-lock approach. A maven in the middle, this nose guard is aggressive when pass rushing. An explosive defender, he re-establishes the line of scrimmage as he knocks offensive linemen backwards with his get off and punch. The most exciting thing we see on Paulino's defensive tape is that he starts to come out of his hips at moments. Offensively, where I seem to like him just a bit more, has a good base and balanced stance when run blocking - all of which he aims to finish. A strong tackler, film shows us that Williams breaks down and wraps extremely well in open space. With a burst of speed on tape, he reads and gets down hill whens hooting the window, often getting through unblocked in the B-gaps. Lastly, situational awareness is a part of his game too, where we see him evade chop blocks and piles in short yardage.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2044161"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-69dc6943776ea"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">An edge/linebacker, [player_tooltip player_id='2044161' first='Anthony' last='Bennett'] is a prospect who, when pass rushing, does a great job of getting past one opponent at a time when pass rushing - understanding that he must focus on his first challenge before ultimately getting home. As a tight end, Bennett is all over the field. Overall I feel as though his future is on defense.
