At the 7v7 this morning, he dominated on both sides of the ball. Phipps already has an elite-size speed combo with great ball skills and adjustment high/low.  What is so surprising about him is how smooth of a route runner he is for his age. Very long arms. Very tall, strong athlete. Already a very crafty Route runner who creates separation. Made some big one-handed acrobatic catches. Great run-after-the-catch ability and athleticism. Legitimate deep-play threat as a wide receiver; not a burner but has enough juice to be a player teams have to account for. On defense he snagged an interception early in the game. Very good at undercutting routes on defense and timing the ball. Works on his own over the MOF. High-points the ball and wins contested catches. Flashes high upside for a future HS player.
