IA Class A Top WR/TEs to Watch in 2026

Class A boasted one of the deepest receiving corps in all of Iowa last season, with at least 25 receivers amassing over 500+ yards over the air last, season, with only 2 conferences in the state having more across the 2025 season. With a large portion of those receivers returning in 2026, they should be at the forefront of what has been a very productive group of pass-catchers within the state. We take a look at 8 receivers in Class A Iowa to watch out for in 2026!    A large majority of the Wildcats' offense will be returning in 2026, making them immediate front-runners in the Class A conference, and among those returning starters being one of the most productive receivers in the conference last season in [player_tooltip player_id='1197475' first='Jayden' last='Lloyd']. Lloyd's 785 receiving yards ranked 2nd most in the conference on 49 catches (16 YPC) and 3 TDs. Working in the slot, Lloyd's speed and slippery escape ability suits him well in that role, breaking in and out on his cuts smoothly and showing strong hands. A multi-purpose tool, Lloyd took reps as well in the backfield and adds value as a return specialist, extending Lloyd's capabilities for the Wildcats, and that all-purpose value could be a difference-maker toward making a push for the state title to round out his high school career.     On the other side of things, Jayden's younger brother [player_tooltip player_id='1909617' first='Grayson' last='Lloyd'] made an immediate impact on the Wildcats' offense in his freshman year, immediately solidifying the brothers as a one-two punch for their passing game. Lloyd finished with 586 yards and 8 TDs on just 31 receptions (18.9 YPC). Unlike his older brother, Grayson played more as an outside receiver, flashing fluid route-running ability while also possessing the same amount of speedy playmaking value that his older brother holds. What he lacks in size at the outside WR position he makes up for with sharp footwork and being able to create separation both over the middle and outside the perimeter with his feet. The Lloyds will have a big presence for Woodbury Central's offense in 2026.     With a shakeup under Center, the Panthers' offense had up-and-down results in 2025, though through their inconsistencies came an impressive breakout star in the passing game in [player_tooltip player_id='1941233' first='Crosby' last='Yoder']. After catching just 3 passes as a sophomore, Yoder led the team with 655 receiving yards on 53 receptions and 6 TDs. He also added 189 rushing yards (6.3 YPC) and a rushing TD. Despite his smaller size, Yoder makes up his smaller size with his versatility, quickness, and reliability hands to get an upper hand against his opponents. There may be a QB controversy arising in 2026 for the Panthers, though Yoder should remain to be a top target in the passing game for whoever ends up leading the offense.     While still battling with inconsistent performances, the Broncos' offense took a noticeable step forward in the 2025 revolving around a sound passing game, with Kysen Lamb taking a much bigger role as one of the team's most productive pass-catchers. Lamb caught 41 passes for 610 yards and 6 TDs in 2025. Lamb may be a bit thinner for his frame, but he shows impressive speed, smooth footwork, and great timing with his hands, and those traits can also be attributed well from his success as a basketball player where he's been a prominent standout as a Small Guard for their team. With top receiver Braden Dougherty graduating this offseason, Lamb should assume the No. 1 WR role for the Broncos' next season, and with that should continue to put up huge numbers for their offense.     Brady Hogan returned in 2025 as the leading receiver for the Buccaneers' offense, taking steps forward with his performance and remaining to be one of the team's brightest spots. Hogan finished with 575 receiving yards on 34 receptions (16.9 YPC) and 5 TDs. Another impressive athlete who overcomes his shortcoming in size and making it up with skill, Hogan shows great footwork on his routes, being able to break down on in cuts and comeback routes very well, creating big plays in space, and being slippery after the catch to rack up big yardage. Expect Hogan's numbers to further increase as he continues to hone his skills heading into his senior campaign.     [player_tooltip player_id='2059037' first='Gavin' last='Gerritson'] has garnered more prominence as a LB prospect, but also showcases plenty of versatility to dual as one of of the top pass-catchers for the Falcons as well. Gerritson finished with 556 receiving yards on 38 receptions and 6 TDs in 2025. Lining up as a TE, Gerritson works very well as a checkdown option who can turn a short pass into a big gain, Gerritson shows fluid movement and speed after the catch, following his lanes, and getting the most out of each catch he makes. Gerritson's productivity may be more evident on the defensive side of the ball, which may be his priority focus going forward, but he also shows himself well as a viable option in the passing game as well.     IKM-Manning took a big step forward in 2025, posting their highest single-season win total since 2019, with Wyatt Danner proving critical aiding a potent passing game for the Wolves. Danner finished with 524 yards on 30 receptions and 9 TDs. A potent outside receiver who can bend both inside and outside the CB on his routes well, Danner's speed and flexibility gives him an advantage making catches through tight spacing while showcasing impressive high-point potential on 1-on-1 shots, utilizing his frame to his full advantage. With QB [player_tooltip player_id='1941236' first='Ben' last='Ramsey'] graduating this offseason, Danner's numbers might take a hit with a new QB under Center, but with a bump up to the No. 1 WR position in 2026, Danner should continue to receive a large share of targets in his senior season.     Overcoming a 1-3 start to finish with their first winning record season 2022, the Knights are positioning themselves in the right direction and are in position to perform even better in 2026 with several of their starters returning from last season, including [player_tooltip player_id='2085603' first='Westly' last='Cole']. Cole was the leading receiver for the Knights in 2025, finishing with 504 yards on 40 receptions and 8 TDs. Dualing as a TE and outside WR thanks to his size and frame, Cole is a physical mismatch against his opponents, proving too big for DBs to tackle and too fast for LBs to keep up with, making him a perfect cornerstone for the Wolves' passing game. As one of the top TEs across the state returning in 2026, Cole should continue to put up big numbers at the heart of Newman Catholic's offense.
