Four 2028 New Additions You Should Know

In this article we look at a few new players who will be featured in our 2028 Rankings who you should know.    Johnson is a player who was introduced to me during our winter showcase series. The Brentwood playmaker stands at 5'10" 165-Pounds, and displays a solid frame for the position. I do want to see him hit at least 180-Pounds, to help fill out his frame. Johnson is a quick athlete, who displayed exceptional footwork, along with a quick burst and good speed, allowing him to reach the second level with ease.     Cumberbatch is a major threat on the football field. The Kennedy Catholic Playmaker, can play on both sides of the field, and makes his presence known as a TE, and DL. As a TE, he is an outstanding blocker, who is hard to tackle. He moves well for his frame, and showcases good hands and route running on the offensive side of the ball. As a DL, he uses strength, and good hand placement to stuff gaps, and make the pocket collapse.     The Albany High School Prospect, is a name that will easily see some college attention. Standing at 6'1" 275-Pounds, he displays a frame, that can see him playing on both sides of the ball. He is better on the offense, where he showcases good footwork, and moves well reaching the POA. I like his use of strength and leverage which allow him to drive back opposing lineman, and keep the pocket clean. On rush reps, he showcases the ability to create gaps across the line, and moves well without holding. Gailliard is a player to watch in Section Two this Season.     Lastly we have DB [player_tooltip player_id='2151385' first='Shaye' last='Sykes']. The Chaminade playmaker had a breakout season at Safety for the Flyers, and has done well on the 7v7 circuit this offseason. Standing at 5'9" 160-Pounds, he has a solid frame for a DB, and should look to reach the 170-175-Pound mark to help fill out his frame. Sykes is a true ball hawk, who benefits from the ball coming his way. He has a high IQ, and reads an offense well, showing good instincts and body control, paired with high level footwork, and speed which allows him to make plays on the ball.
