Under-the-Radar 2027s Primed For Breakout Campaigns

I'm hopping into the film room to check out some of the hidden gems that we uncovered while updating the 2027 class rankings. Here are five under-the-radar prospects who are set to take off in their senior seasons!   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    <a href="https://x.com/LiamHouston27" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@LiamHouston27)</a>   Elkhorn's [player_tooltip player_id='1086178' first='Liam' last='Houston'] is a solid offensive line prospect who has been on the rise after a great junior campaign. Houston started at right guard for the Antlers (played some tackle as well), where he showed a well-rounded skill set as a pass protector and run blocker. He possesses the size to dominate at the next level, standing at 6'2" and 285 pounds with a good blend of power and mobility. Houston displays great lateral quickness, as he can easily climb to the second level to seal off LBs and hit like a truck when he gets going on pulling plays. His lateral mobility also allows him to stay in-step with speedy pass rushers when in pass protection. Liam is physical at the point of contact, using good hand placement and effective leverage to win his matchups. This physicality will also drive Liam to play through the whistle and finish his blocks in the dirt. One of the top un-offered players at the moment... get after him!      <a href="https://x.com/john_bauer4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@john_bauer4)</a>   Keeping it in Elkhorn, but now we look at the Storm, where they have another great class brewing with players like DB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='2110888' first='John' last='Bauer'] ready for a big year. John had a great junior season, finishing with 43 tackles, four TFLs, and a forced fumble at safety. My biggest takeaway from watching John's tape is that he is everywhere, using his range to consistently get to the ball. John sees and processes the field very well and can quickly flip his hips and break on the ball. He has underrated speed and agility that allow him to get depth in coverage and can quickly crash downhill when he triggers the run. An offer from Midland kicked off John's recruitment... it won't be long before many more join in!      <a href="https://x.com/syllas_daniels" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@syllas_daniels)</a>   Lincoln Southeast's [player_tooltip player_id='2110887' first='Syllas' last='Daniels'] is an interesting up-and-coming prospect who gave us several flashes of his upside last season. Syllas ended his junior season with 36 tackles, a TFL, and a sack playing linebacker. Syllas has a strong, compact build at 6'1" and 200 pounds with the strength to overpower blockers when he bullrushes them at the line of scrimmage. He played both inside and outside linebacker for the Knights, and I can see him excelling at either position. On the outside, he can use his speed off the ball and twitchiness at the line to get a clean break on opposing ball carriers. When moved to the inside, Daniels is able to effectively fill his gaps with the closing speed to meet them at/behind the line of scrimmage to minimize any gains. Syllas is a solid tackler when he gets to the ball carrier, using both power and sound technique to ensure the stop. Rising player with all the tools to take over as a senior!      The North Platte Bulldogs have a secret weapon along their defensive line in [player_tooltip player_id='1701782' first='Kaden' last='Brecks'], who flashed his run-stuffing ability last season. Kaden posted solid numbers as a junior, although you could say his impact went deeper than the stat sheet. Brecks ended the year with 25 tackles, two TFLs, and a half sack, but showed he can open up opportunities for his teammates on defense. At 6'0" and 315 pounds, Kaden excels at being able to blow up blocks on the interior line and shutting down inside run lanes. He possesses a powerful anchor that allows him to stack blocks at the line of scrimmage, and he can also use his hands to disengage to go after the ballcarrier. I don't have a ton of film on Kaden, but the upside is definitely clear in the clips I've seen. Sleeper player who can bolster your DL!      <a href="https://x.com/landobando84" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@landobando84)</a>   Even on an absolutely loaded receiver room for the Millard South Patriots, junior [player_tooltip player_id='1085156' first='Landon' last='Schneider'] was able to get his feet wet on the varsity side with some quality reps. Landon ended the year with eight receptions for 104 yards and two touchdowns, setting himself up nicely to step into the open slot receiver role for the Patriots. The biggest thing that stands out about Landon's game is how twitchy he is as a route runner, displaying quick footwork and explosiveness through his breaks. He does a great job working the middle of the field and knows how to create separation at the top of the route or identify soft spots in coverage. Landon is a tough player who has proven he can make difficult contested catches and will keep on fighting through tackles to try to tack on additional yards. Great hands.
