What pops out quickly when you watch Caleb on tape is if you are looking for a linebacker at the next-level that plays with a high-motor and does so on a constant basis, Caleb is a sure fit for your program. Caleb also developed more agility to extend outside the inside box and got smoother with his footwork moving laterally in his junior season. He's one that you will constantly see during traffic for the Elks defense which shows to me that Caleb is a team leader and boosts a sound football IQ. The offer he got this week surely won't be the last one he gets this spring into summer.

Tyson is one that I feel got on late on my 2027 SD radar, but got his first offer from the Yellow Jackets yesterday. Tyson for his size is more durable than you might think getting his yards after contact and wastes no time showing it. He's a fluid route-runner that has great change of direction and the other mention with his durability is most of his contact yards come on horizontal routes which is probably the toughest area to get extra yards. Tyson is also a huge asset in the kickoff return game which gives him another level where he can contribute at the next-level

Everybody knows who our WR1 in the 2027 class as [player_tooltip player_id='1212272' first='Drake' last='Mikkelsen'] of Lennox picked up an offer from 2024 FBS playoff competitor Boise State yesterday. The last WR from South Dakota that picked up a Boise State offer? Another WR1 in our class which was SDSU WR Landon Dulaney in the 2025 class. Drake has some of the best hands we've seen in the Mount Rushmore State in a while as the tape wastes no time showing it off. At 6'5 210 pounds, you can bet he has "truck like" durability thru contact and already owns the state record for receptions in 11A and still has a season left under his belt. He's now up to nine D1 offers between FBS and FCS

I swear Beckett was my "secret" in this 2027 South Dakota rankings update, and now the offers have started coming as Black Hills State is now Beckett's fourth offer since February. The 6'5 275 pounder, has such natural balance as a pull-blocker in the Quarriers offense and is one of the best offensive line that 11A has to offer. Another area where Beckett excels is with his pad-level as it's heard to see where this young man misses a beat as a run-blocker. I surely think that Beckett could get more attention come this spring and fall at the D1 and 2 levels as far as offers.

Offered by: Lindenwood

The highest graded West River 2027 prospect St. Thomas More offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1293174' first='Rush' last='Turner'] picked up his first offer this week from Lindenwood. For 6'6 265 pounds, Rush moves well laterally with his footwork and can pin down his blocker with the pure violent strength you want to see at the point of attack. He's also one that can get into the second level on combo-blocks and shows off a sound motor in the trenches for his size. Rush is also an excellent finisher which surely is why he's the first D1 offer that's come thru out of Rapid City thus far this cycle and is a recent Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum.

I recall in the live eval last summer at the SDSU prospect camp that [player_tooltip player_id='1575917' first='Hunter' last='Peterson'] was going to be my new TE2 in the 2027 class and so far, the D1s have taken notice as Air Force is Hunter's second FBS offer that came in this week. What I vividly remember from camp, is Hunter was the best run-blocker I saw all-day in Brookings at the tight end position and he can do more than just that. He's got smooth hands, great vision in the open field, and great speed in the open field. Surely one that I expect more FCS and FBS to come soon.
