He is lighter for a LB, so there is some flexibility that he could play more of a nickel position at the next level. Regardless, there is time to get bigger, and he is a difference maker in the middle of the defense. Everything about him is clean. He is a true pursuer of the football with consistent fits and good technique as a tackler. He closes space quickly and can pop at contact, so there is some flash, too. Davis is more of a chess piece, while Cunningham projects more as a traditional thumper. At 225 pounds, he has the mass and strength to be trusted when engaging blockers and generate some pop when coming downhill as a tackler. He plays with better finesse than you'd think, flashing his range both as a pursuer and in coverage. Poole is now up to 6'2 235, and is coming off a breakout junior season. I love the athletic flashes here. He is explosive off the line, quick to shed, and plays in space exceptionally well. He is capable of chasing and mirroring skill players in space, all while battling hard at the point of attack against blockers. He handles QB duties, but will project out as a skill player. Blackwell is a threat to score from any spot on the field as a runner. In space, he is incredibly difficult to tackle. Defenders have trouble getting him wrapped, and he steps on toes when changing direction to generate misses. Blackwell is slick in space and can create his own yards. He will project out as a WR. Against his current level of comp, he is simply a mismatch with his combination of size and speed. He generates plenty of explosive plays after the catch, relying on his vision and vertical speed to take advantage of openings and lift off. He contributes at each level as well, and flashes the focus and hands needed to execute when the ball is in the air.
