The Music City Mayhem 7v7 tournament kicked off on Saturday, and there was plenty of good football. I was assigned the 10U Division, so I want to talk about some of the top performers from Day 1 of the event.

I've chosen five young prospects to discuss, all of whom showed good things. All five are on the offensive side of the ball.

WR Huck Gregory – Next-Gen Select 10U

Huck Gregory was an impressive player for his team. The young receiver is on the smaller side, but has plenty of athleticism to make up for it. Gregory made several big-time catches on Saturday, including a few where he used his elusiveness to juke out defenders for big gains.

He was their No. 1 offensive weapon, helping them reach Bracket Play. Gregory has upside as a shifty receiver who lines up inside, but also as a gadget guy.

QB Austin Pullum – 256 Family 10U

Austin Pullum was one of the best 10U quarterbacks at this event, consistently making big plays when his team needed them. The signal caller possesses good size for his age, with a frame that gives him an advantage over the competition.

Pullum's deep ball was solid, but he's also not afraid to take what the defense gives him. He helped 256 Family 10U capture the No. 2 seed in this event.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='2147930' first='Jett' last='Fuqua'] – NPA 10U – 2 Cobbins

[player_tooltip player_id='2147930' first='Jett' last='Fuqua'] is a solid play for NPA 10U – 2 Cobbins. He did a little bit of everything for the No. 4 seed in the event. The young player made good grabs on offense, showing his ability to make stuff happen after the catch.

He played a little bit of defensive back for National Playmakers Academy, where he was also a productive option. It's tough to say what his best position is right now, but he has upside at both.

WR Korey Dobson – Tennessee Vultures 10U

Korey Dobson was a big-play machine for the Tennessee Vultures 10U. He's on the smaller side but offers impressive athleticism and speed, allowing him to dominate competition. The young buck made a handful of chunk plays for his team, using his breakaway speed and burst to outrun everyone.

I don't know if he'll be a true jump-ball receiver given his height and youth, but he's highly athletic for his size and should turn into a good player at the next level.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='2150095' first='Mason' last='Warren'] – NPA 10U – 1 White – Gafney

The other National Playmakers Academy team was led by quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='2150095' first='Mason' last='Warren'], who was impressive over the several hours I watched him play. He's a smaller signal caller, but should grow into a good frame over time.

Warren has a good deep ball and showed the ability to read the field and make good decisions most of the time. He's relatively accurate and has solid touch on his passes.
