Monthly Check-in: Underrated Prospects Across the State

He's quick on his feet, can stay with faster targets downfield, and has terrific ball skills he uses to track and haul in interceptions in the secondary.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I'm just as impressed with Allen's blitzing and run defense. He's a physical defender that's willing to dish out big hits down near the line of scrimmage and in the open field. Be on the lookout for him this next season."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We picked Allen as our 3A All-State DB earlier this year, and for good reason. When you watch what he did in 2025, it's hard to be anything other than impressed. He's quick and instinctual, provides great coverage, and does an excellent job defending against the run.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I'm really impressed with Prince's run defense. He flies to the ball, is terrific at fighting off blockers, and is a reliable tackler who constantly creates stops for loss or little gain.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prince seriously impressed us this past season and deserves some more attention here on the site and in the recruiting world. I won't be surprised if he sees offers head his way soon. He does a great job scanning every level of the field to find open receivers, hitting them in stride, and constantly moving the ball downfield. Norris also has some impressive ball placement. He can fit passes into some tight windows and does an excellent job leading his guys on deeper passes, putting them only where they can make a play on it.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>On top of that, Norris has the speed, mobility, and elusiveness to carve up defenses on the ground as well. He can easily avoid pressure and evade defenders in the open field- his dual threat abilities make him such a tough player to stop."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Norris made a bunch of really impressive plays this year, and quickly made me a big fan after watching his tape. We all need to keep an eye on him this upcoming fall. As a passer, Taafe accurately delivers the ball anywhere on the field- he does a great job reading defenses and consistently can find and accurately hit his WRs.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Outside of his passing, Taaffe is explosive and keeps defenses on their heels with his legs. Taafe is really quick on his feet, plays with great speed, and can make defenders miss when he's on the run- consistently coming up with huge gains/scoring plays on the ground.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taaffe has consistently gotten better year after year and is coming off his best season to date last fall. We all need to be sure to watch out for this upcoming year. I think he'll have a great season through the air and on the ground. He's consistently found a ton of success on the ground these last few seasons.
