Miller carried the load for McGill-Toolen, logging 146 yards on 31 carries and 4 touchdowns in a gritty win over Spanish Fort. He ran with toughness and purpose, consistently falling forward for extra yardage. His endurance and effort anchored the offense throughout the game, wearing down defenders in the trenches. Miller’s relentless style of play continues to make him one of the most dependable workhorse backs in the state. His four-touchdown night was a testament to both power and persistence.

This past week, Miller came up huge in McGill Toolen’s (4-3) 24-6 win over Blount (1-5) where he consistently carved up the opposing defense to move the chains and find the endzone multiple times. Miller has a terrific burst of speed out of the backfield that helps him make huge plays on the ground- once he breaks into the open field it’s extremely hard for defenders to keep up with him. Miller plays with a ton of speed and elusiveness, and has a motor that allows him to consistently outrun and evade defenses throughout all four quarters. It was easy to see this against Blount last week- Miller finished the game with 150 yards and 2 touchdowns, consistently finding ways to exploit their defense throughout the entire game. It’s been really exciting watching Miller this fall, he’s done a great job building off his successful freshman year and shows no signs of slowing down. Watch out for him the rest of this season, he’s a serious playmaker!

Miller is explosive out of the backfield, he has a terrific burst of speed that he uses to go from 0-100 in a moment’s notice. Once Miller gets into the open field he’s hard to stop- his speed, elusiveness, and motor allow him to consistently outrun and evade entire defenses for huge gains. It’s clear that Miller has great vision as well- he always takes the correct lane and can maximize every carry for great yardage. Last fall, all of these traits were on full display- Miller ended his freshman season with 139 carries for 726 yards and 6 touchdowns. Miller had a terrific first year starting, he was able to make a ton of plays for his offense and is now heading into a big sophomore season this fall where he will continue to develop.
