Michigan's Special 2027 Tight Ends

Anthony's updated film from 2025 was really impressive. I saw what I had been hoping to see-more in line TE reps, blocking, and still being that explosive player over the middle. He has improved in every area of the position, while remaining that athletic deep threat that can hurt you after the catch and make a good play great. Good hands, great consistency with his route running and and a body that is starting to take form into a can't-miss prospect. Cartwright is #1 on our board for a reason, and his film tells the tale.     Holden is another guy that has really filled out his frame, but remained lean and athletic. His route running has continuously gotten better, and he is another guy that gets it done after the play, but his calling card is his strength. He breaks through arm tackles of smaller linebackers and nearly any DB. When blocking, he is able to lock on and finish his guy to the ground. I thought of Holden as a pass-first TE, and while I still think that's largely the case, 2025 showed the inline TE and gritting blocking I wanted to see.     Atticus has really started filling out, and plays a bit of a hybrid role. He can line up tight to the line and block and release up the seam with the best of them, but has no problem splitting out and running some more difficult routes. He has great ball tracking and the ability to high point the ball and pluck it from the air. He absorbs contact well and can typically fall forward for extra yardage. I think he's the most traditional TE on this list, but is very productive and can be an absolute weapon at the next level.     While he hasn't updated his film in awhile, I have seen some of his game on NFHS. He's an athletic and versatile TE at 6'4 220. He really thrives at blocking for the run, but he also has a smooth release and knows how to find the open space of the defense. When called upon to catch the ball, he has reliable hands and will high point the ball with ease. I saw that he will be at the Wayne State Showcase this spring, so I look forward to seeing him in person finally!     Brandon put together a superb 2025 season. His athletic traits pop off the screen the second you watch him. A well built TE with elite athleticism, Adams pretty much has his way with LBs trying to cover him in space. He runs clean routes, has reliable hands and once he secures the catch, he can get up field in a hurry. As a blocker, he's aggressive, understands how to get leverage and bury his opponent. On top of being a superior TE, he's also one of our top linebackers in the class, showing just how versatile he is. I'm expecting an explosive 2026 from Brandon.
