First and foremost, Gavin is poised, and a true vocal leader. No matter what the score is, Gavin was rooting on his teammates, picking them up and celebrating them. Great leadership qualities are a must for quarterbacks. On the field, Davis was calm, confident and decisive. He has a big arm and trusts it. He mad a plethora of throws leading his receivers and hitting them in stride. He had no issue ripping the ball with velocity into tight windows and putting it where only his guys can get to it. Green showed off some of the best raw arm talent on the day. The ball leaves his hand with the perfect spiral and touch every time. His mechanics and footwork were consistent, allowing him to put the ball right on the money on ever down whether it be layering over linebackers, hitting slants and in-breaking routes, or putting it over the receivers shoulder on deep balls. No part of the field was off limits at all, which made him extremely efficient. He to showed the poise and patience of a veteran. He kept a strong and wide base, and was able to read and react quickly. He threw with confidence and was extremely decisive. Stone had no issue taking what the defense gave him and not forcing the ball where it didn't belong. The North Farmington gunslinger was very impressive in a split reps situation. He went toe to toe against some really solid defenses and performed extremely well. His strong arm and tight spiral popped to me right away. He was able to make quick and accurate reads and deliver the ball into some difficult spots. He was able to spread it to every part of the field. It seemed like he was a step ahead of the defense more often than not. Duke passes the eye test physically, looking significantly bigger and more powerful than any other QB in attendance. His arm strength was on display right from the jump, pushing the ball downfield and taking shots to the end zone from the beginning. His processing and accuracy are far beyond any other QB in the state. When he was taking snaps, he was quick and decisive, and used his consistent mechanics to deliver some impressive strikes. His ability to scan and react is extremely advanced, and I am really impressed with his quick trigger. His fundamentals and football IQ just continues to evolve and push his progression leaps and bounds. His arm strength is off the chart, and he was seeing the field extremely well. His accuracy was good and he even had a few balls that he dropped right into a bucket. His development from what I saw on tape to now is evident in everything he did.
