Prep Redzone's Shayne Pickering and I began our 2026 Spring Tour, visiting various programs across the state to conduct interviews and see talented players.

The first visit in the series was at Rockvale High School, where the scouts got a close-up look at an up-and-coming program led by second-year head coach James Counce III.

After being able to see a plethora of prospects, I'll be discussing five of the top players on this squad. We have a good mix of both sides, with three being on defense and the other two playing on offense.

2027 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1675717' first='Dallas' last='Pauldo']

Talented [player_tooltip player_id='1675717' first='Dallas' last='Pauldo'] is coming off a good season with Rockvale, where he was a big contributor on both sides of the football. The 2027 prospect is a good tight end, but is best on the defensive front, where he's picked up offers from Georgia, Indiana, Alabama, Vanderbilt and others.

Pauldo has good size, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 245 pounds in a lean build. He needs to add weight to fully maximize his potential, but the rising senior has the frame to do so. He's very athletic, with nice twitch and burst that allows him to be a disruptor all over the defensive front.

The future blue-chip player has all the talent in the world due to his raw physical traits and his ability to move so well. He needs to become more polished in certain areas, but once he further develops, good luck stopping him.

2027 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1567089' first='Jamarcus' last='Brown']

[player_tooltip player_id='1567089' first='Jamarcus' last='Brown'] is one of my favorite transfers from this past season, moving from Stewart Creek. It was an underrated get, but this 2027 back is a very impressive player with star written all over him.

In just four games played a season ago, he totaled 605 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns against good competition.

The rising senior is well-built for his position, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 210 pounds, with a thick but lean frame. Brown is a bowling ball, but he moves very well and has breakaway speed, making him the complete package. He has all the physical tools to dominate 6A, but his excellent vision will go a long way in taking him to that next tier.

Several people around the program rave about how talented he is, with Pauldo calling him “different.” Brown offers just about everything you want in a tailback and will be a big-time player this upcoming season.

2027 DB [player_tooltip player_id='2101048' first='Kingston' last='McQueen']

Rockvale defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='2101048' first='Kingston' last='McQueen'] is another transfer, coming in from Stewarts Creek, where he was one of the best players in the Midstate over the last two seasons. In 2025, the rising senior played just six games, but totaled 27 tackles and seven pass breakups.

He's a versatile guy who has experience at multiple positions, but will likely stick to defense with Rockvale. McQueen has good size for his position, listed at 6-foot and 190 pounds on Twitter.

However, it appears that he's added some good weight this offseason. The rising senior was impressive both physically and on the field, where he got a lot of run at multiple spots. He's a good coverage guy, but brings that physicality to come up and make a play closer to the line of scrimmage.

The 2027 prospect is impressive all the way around and will prove to be a good addition to this upcoming team.

2027 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1815536' first='Jayden' last='Agberodiola']

Rising senior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1815536' first='Jayden' last='Agberodiola'] is another recent recruiting riser, picking up offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Missouri and others. He's a raw prospect, but has some of the best physical tools in the Southeast, starting with his size as an interior lineman.

The 2027 prospect stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 340 pounds, with impressive athleticism for his size and plenty of strength. He is a physical specimen up front, with the potential to become a blue-chip prospect after he develops under this staff.

Agberodiola is a good player who can contribute in many ways, starting with his ability to stop the run. He's very good in that department, while forcing teams to use multiple linemen to block him, allowing others to eat.

The rising senior has nice athleticism and some upside as a pass rusher. If he can develop in that area, while becoming a more polished player, this team will have two stud defensive linemen.

2028 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1588114' first='Caiden' last='Pyrdum']

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1588114' first='Caiden' last='Pyrdum'] comes to Rockvale after playing last season for Providence Christian Academy, becoming one of the more underrated players in Tennessee. He's an interior offensive lineman, but can play on both sides of the football.

His nickname is “Big Country” and for good reason. The rising junior stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 310 pounds with plenty of strength behind a big body. He's not as mobile as other players, but he uses his size to dominate between the tackles.

Pyrdum has strong hands and gets off the ball well, allowing him to drive opposing players back into the second level. The 2027 prospect is a good pulling guard, as well as being a lead blocker. He can also be utilized in pass protection, making him a good all-around player.
