That underscores the youth in Durham and Orange Counties this season, as plenty of teams will be replacing their best lineman. That isn't the case for Walker and Cedar Ridge, as he isn't just the leading returner in terms of sacks, but in tackles as well. He plays a lot of 3-4 defensive end, and his football I.Q. is excellent putting him in position to make plays. That was on display when he picked off a screen pass last year. Defensive tackle is his best position, though, and the rising senior was a force on the inside for Mt. Zion last year. He played as much end as he did tackle last season, but it looks like Northern Durham wants him to bulk up just a bit and play as a speedy, undersized interior lineman.
