Our Winter rankings update pinpointed even more players from the 2027, 2028 and 2029 classes who have stood out in their respective positions. For a variety of reasons, our team decided that each of those new additions were worthy of a coveted spot in our rankings.

But as you've discovered by following along, we're nowhere near done.

As we traverse the offseason, we're also seeing a changing of the guard. And, as such, PRZ South Carolina is constantly looking at as many of the 10,000 or so prep football players in the SCHSL and SCISA ranks as possible.

Now, the Community Film Room is back.

In each edition, we'll break down five unranked players from across the state to let you see what we're seeing. The series will lead right into the the start of the spring rankings cycle, the ever-growing importance of the summer program schedules and then the 2026 season.

In Episode 80, we're breaking down a SCISA two-way star, a recent Lowcountry transfer who led his past team in tackles, a multi-faceted Upstate tailback who also plays a little defense, a GSPD defensive end with a game-wrecking physical ability and an Upstate quarterback with the tools to make a serious jump in his season year running his team's offense.

Let's start with the less talked about part of Mack's game that is likely going to get him some decent looks. As the team's hybrid outside backer/safety last fall, he finished second on the team in tackles (73) while adding 19 tackles for loss, two sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception. Not too shabby from his “other” position, huh?

What No. 21 did on offense, though, was serve as the undersold propulsion for an offense that loves to throw the ball but also knows it can't do that every down. Mack was far and away the team's top rusher, finishing with 713 yards and six touchdowns. He did have two fumbles, but that's not awful considering he had 125 carries.

Mack has also proven he can catch the ball - both out of the backfield or split into the slot. Add it all up, and he's got as much all-around potential as nearly anyone in SCISA going into the 2026 season.

Up until last week, Freeman was a member of Beaufort's program and was coming off a junior season in which he led the Eagles in tackles (108) while adding 10 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup.

Immediately, there are going to be some questions about how Freeman fits in with a defensive unit that is already pretty stacked at the position, but at the very least, his arrival answers some of the depth questions that ultimately prevented Hilton Head from making it at least one more round of the state playoffs last fall.

As for Freeman, he exhibits everything you'd want to see from a mid-level college linebacker. Between his size, his pursuit angles and his ability to bust up blockers, he's about to make a pretty good Hilton Head defense even better.

The joy of describing Griffin as a “tweener” is that he's 15 years old, so who the heck knows what he'll look like physically in two or three years? But for now, we're seeing a very bright light leading him down his football tunnel.

At 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, he clearly needs to put on some weight to sustain a heavier workload at the tailback spot. He will also likely need to put a heavier emphasis on keeping his pads lower, as his height often leaves him running pretty upright. But again, if that's the knock on him, we like where everything else is heading.

Griffin, on top of being able to see over the line, is a budding matchup problem as a pass catcher, both out of the backfield or when he's offset from the quarterback. Tack on some time on defense, and it's not hard to see why Blacksburg kept him on the field as much as it did during Griffin's freshman campaign.

Hannah has the type of length that has already and will continue to warrant some next-level consideration. And if you look at what he did at last year's combine (primarily his 77-inch wing span, his 4.69 40 time or his 101-inch broad jump), his production for the Bears during last year's 12-1 season doesn't seem like much of a shock at all.

The opposing offenses charged with keeping pace with Carvers Bay's potent rushing attack - something that limited possessions - did whatever they could to do on whatever side of the field Hannah wasn't lining up on with his hand on the ground. It decreased his own numbers, perhaps, but not those of his team, primarily in the win column.

Hannah then turned it on in the playoffs against teams who didn't scout him as closely; he eclipsed his tackles for loss figure from the regular season in just three postseason games. He also added a sack and a forced fumble in the second season, too. The sky is the limit for his senior year.

When you play quarterback at Clinton these days, you better recognize that your job is to orchestrate an offense that is going to run the ball at a four-to-one clip, if you're lucky. And in his first year at the helm, Glenn discovered things weren't going to be handed to him.

Still, he's now positioned for an even bigger 2026 season after he threw for 679 yards and eight touchdowns and ran for another 349 yards and four more scores. Glenn was dinged with seven interceptions, but the fact that four of those game during the first four games of the season tells us he was soaking up what was happening and adjusting well.

His completion percentage also improved as the season went along, too. He started getting accustomed to tucking and running instead of forcing some throws. Another offseason will only make his arm stronger, and while his number probably won't pop, a modicum of an increase will be reflected in terms of wins.
