2027 Rankings: Meet the Top Five WR's

The new 2027 rankings are officially released. And with over 100 new players, and multiple players positions changing, and new additions to the top five at each position, we will take a look at the new top five at each position, and what makes them worthy of a top ranking in the state of New York.   The Summer Reigonal Exposure Showcases are back, and New York has one on May 23rd. Other states will also host events. Barr stands at 6'3" 195-Pounds, displaying a solid frame for a WR. The Irondequoit prospect has seen an uptick in his recruitment as of late.   Barr was an elite threat used all over the field for the Irondequoit Squad. He has elite speed, and good footwork. With the ball in his hands, he can reach the second level with ease, and can make sharp cuts to avoid defenders with ease. In motion, Barr is unstoppable, with the ball In his hands, and easily a top prospect in the 2027 class.     Our Second Ranked 2027 prospect, is once again [player_tooltip player_id='1513229' first='Brien' last='Walker']. The Monroe prospect is fresh off a state championship, where he and top 2026 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='505856' first='Messiah' last='Hampton'] were unstoppable pass catchers. The 6'4" 185-Pound prospect, displays an elite frame for a WR.   Walker has an elite burst allowing him to take off after the catch. He displays good hands, and makes the most with the ball in his hands. I like his ability to avoid defenders, and to work around blocks and opposing players in space. His height is a big plus as he can jump up and rack in big time catches for his squad.     Third is once again [player_tooltip player_id='1144300' first='Noah' last='Collins-Howard']. another prospect up north in the state, the Rush Henrietta prospect, has seen a big up tick in his recruitment with multiple offers coming after an impressive season. Standing at 5'10" 160-Pounds, he displays an undersized frame for the WR position.   The slim WR, makes up for his size easily on the football field. In the return game, he is an elite returner, who displays good footwork, and elite speed. Collins-Howard, is an excellent route runner, who can make sharp cuts at the top of his routes, and utilizes space well to rack in catches and break free for big gains.     Finally heading down state for our fourth ranked WR, we have [player_tooltip player_id='1371650' first='Ebube' last='Onukaogu']. The Erasmus Hall prospect, sees his ranking rise one spot at the WR position. Standing at 6'2" 190-Pounds, the Erasmus Hall prospect, displays a solid frame for the WR position.   Onukaogu is an elite route runner, who displays good footwork at the top of his routes. He can make jump balls look easy, and jumps up to make 50/50 balls with ease. He has good speed, and can turn on the burners with the ball in his hands. He is easily one of the top PSAL players to watch this fall.     Fifth takes us back north to University Prep for [player_tooltip player_id='1165903' first='Thomas' last='Levans III']. The 5'10" 165-Pounds, and displays a solid frame for a Wide Receiver. Levans III flips with Onukaogu in the rankings in the 2027 latest update.   Levans III, is a quick down field threat, who displays serious speed, allowing him to beat you deep across the field. He has good hands, and can make catches through contact, leading to big gains. He has excellent vision, along with good body control, allowing him to make over the shoulder catches look easy. U-Prep, has a serious playmaker in Levans III.
