2027 Rankings: Meet the Top Five TE's

The new 2027 rankings are officially released. And with over 100 new players, and multiple players positions changing, and new additions to the top five at each position, we will take a look at the new top five at each position, and what makes them worthy of a top ranking in the state of New York.   The Summer Reigonal Exposure Showcases are back, and New York has one on May 23rd. Other states will also host events. The 6'4" 220-Pound TE, displays an outstanding frame for the position. Prokop will make the move from St. Anthony's, back home to Long Island, and will suit up for Centereach this season.   Prokop is an outstanding playmaker, who plays like a WR, and a TE. As a pass catcher, he moves well with his size, and displays some solid speed. I like his ability to avoid contact, and break free from defenders. As a blocker, he showcases good strength along with good hand placement, allowing him to push back blockers in the run game.     Moving up from the number three slot, to the second best TE, is [player_tooltip player_id='1814209' first='Saleh' last='Atariwa']. The Cardinal Hayes Prospect, has an elite 6'7" 245-Pound frame which is on full displays, allowing him to become a national recruit in the 2027 class.   Saleh uses his size well, and makes solid catches, while displaying good hands. His strength is evident, and he is a deadly blocker across the line for the Cardinals. Atariwa moves well, and even displays a solid burst with the ball in his hands. The sky is the limit for the CHSFL prospect.     Third takes us to Bethlehem Central High School, for [player_tooltip player_id='1630323' first='Jack' last='Heffern']. The 6'4" 220-Pound prospect, displays elite size for the TE position. Heffern sees his ranking in the TE position move up from 5th to 3rd in the newest update.   Heffern, is a versatile playmaker, who can play on both sides of the ball, and even can take snaps as a DB. He moves extremely well given his frame, and with the ball on his hands, showcases good footwork, utilizing space across the field.     Fourth is once again [player_tooltip player_id='1649125' first='Brandon' last='McCabe']. After his Junior Season, the 2027 prospect, will look to make a wave in the Catholic League with Kellenberg in his final season. Standing at 6'4" 215-Pounds, he displays a good frame for the TE position.   On tape, his ability to line up on the line, or out wide makes him a major threat in any offense. He has outstanding hands, and his height allows him to make contested catches look easy. I like his body control, and he displays fluid hips that allow him to change his frame, and make highlight reel catches look easy.     Rounding out the top five takes us to the Syracuse region, where we see [player_tooltip player_id='1248852' first='Oakley' last='Keegan']. The 2027 Prospect, holds a few offers, but has been plagued with injuries dropping him in the rankings. Keegan holds multiple offers, and stands at 6'7" 220-Pounds, displaying a solid frame for the TE position.   Keegan was limited due to injuries during his Sophomore/ Junior Seasons, but managed to put together a productive tape over the two years. He has outstanding body control and a quick twitch that is seen while changing directions. He has good hands and is a hard to tackle prospect given his elite size. He has the potential to add weight to his impressive build.
