Earlier this week, we discussed the 2027 New Mexico wide receivers who were trending towards 1,000 receiving yards in their senior campaign this fall. Now we take a look at the 2028 receivers who are doing the same thing (listed in alphabetical order):

[player_tooltip player_id='1826139' first='Cable' last='Carruth'], Bloomfield: Is Carruth the next great receiver at Bloomfield? Yes. The Bobcats' top four receivers were all seniors last season. Carruth is the top returning WR and he'll ascend to the No. 1 role. He'll have a new QB too, but Bloomfield has proven they reload every year. Carruth averaged 28.3 yards per catch in 2026, while eight of his 20 receptions were for touchdowns. He knows how to make big plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613627' first='Nijrelle' last='Denetso'], Navajo Prep: Hidden in the Four Corners region, Denetso could be the best 2028 receiver you've never heard of. He didn't have the most receptions on the Eagles last season, but he had the most receiving yards (624) and most TD receptions (10). Averaged an eye-catching 26.4 yards per reception. Reliable QB [player_tooltip player_id='1605989' first='Aden' last='Clah'] returns as well. Navajo Prep's passing attack in 2026 could be elite.

[player_tooltip player_id='1826084' first='Kordell' last='Erby'], Del Norte: From a win-loss perspective, progress has been slow for Dallas Peterson in his quest to rebuild the Knights program, For 2026, he has a promising QB-WR duo in [player_tooltip player_id='1826079' first='Nicholas' last='Archuleta'] and Erby. Both will be juniors in the fall. Erby flew deep under the radar last season even though he had 42 receptions for 573 yards. Once Del Norte wins a few more games, he'll get the recognition he deserves.

[player_tooltip player_id='1827281' first='Rider' last='Gonzalez'], Loving: What's most impressive about Gonzalez isn't that he amassed the second most yards of any 2028 receiver last season. Instead, it's the fact he averaged 26.0 yards per catch. That ability to stretch defenses will surely get him more targets and more receptions in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613490' first='Evan' last='Nanez'], Cleveland: The most dynamic athlete in the state, Nanez fell four yards short of the 1,000-yard mark in 2025. It's a foregone conclusion he'll surpass 1,000 receiving yards in 2026. In fact, it shouldn't shock anybody if he reaches 1,500 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613352' first='Broden' last='Price'], Manzano: Fantastic size and athleticism at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. Price showed off his impressive all-around skills last season when he rushed for nearly 800 yards, caught 41 passes and accounted for 1,622 all-purpose yards. The new Manzano coach (Stephen Johnston left to take over at Los Lunas) should make getting the football to Price as much as possible a high priority.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613284' first='George' last='Smith'], Sandia: Smith is electric, and could do it all for Sandia if he had to. He's mainly a slot receiver for the Matadors and caught 49 passes for 705 yards and 8 TD last season despite missing one game. He's got strong-armed QB [player_tooltip player_id='1594010' first='Jahleel' last='Lewis'] throwing him the ball, so the odds of 1,000 receiving yards happening is pretty good.
