X3 Impact 7v7 Practice: Top 15U Standouts

There was a multitude of talented rising stars at Battle Ground Academy this past Sunday as X3 Impact held practice for their 12U, 14U, 15U, and 18U squads. After catching all of the action last Sunday afternoon, it's time to breakdown some of the top prospects from each group that shined during their time on the field. To continue my coverage, here's my list of the top performers from the 15U division.    Establishing himself at the helm of the offense was [player_tooltip player_id='1563275' first='Barrett' last='O'Brien'], a quarterback at Liberty Creek High School. What I liked about O'Brien was his size, arm strength, and ability to quickly connect with receivers deep in the backfield. I also liked O'Brien's ability to complete the deep pass, making a number of impressive throws throughout scrimmage action.     I was additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='1663364' first='Nash' last='Franks'], an athlete at Hendersonville High School. Since I saw Franks compete last year, he's developed very nicely. Franks has outstanding size and speed, proving during scrimmage action that he can make the challenging catch. Franks also stood out with his physicality, using his wingspan to wrestle with the defense for the ball.     Another prospect to catch my attention was [player_tooltip player_id='1617137' first='Richard' last='Malone'], a defensive back/wide receiver at Gallatin High School. Malone made his presence known on both sides, impressing me on nearly all of his reps. With great size, speed, and a great wingspan, Malone is definitely a rising talent to keep an eye on during tournament season.     Making his presence known from start to finish was [player_tooltip player_id='2118510' first='Ashton' last='Davis'], a wide receiver/defensive back at Liberty Creek High School. Davis was highly explosive, proving his ability to be unstoppable on the offensive end during the 14U vs. 15U scrimmage. Davis especially shined when he jumped off the ground to haul in the clutch touchdown pass. The rising sophomore was also efficient at picking up yards after the catch.     Also worth mentioning was [player_tooltip player_id='2119533' first='Antonio' last='Cunningham'], an athlete that made a great impression during scrimmage action. On top of outstanding size and speed, I liked how Cunningham played at receiver, proving he can beat defenders with his speed and get wide open in the backfield for the long pass. I also liked how Cunningham could use his strong footwork to quickly change direction to juke out his opponent.
