Last month, we officially released our first 2029 rankings in the state of Kentucky. Since then, I have broken down the top five players at each position in the class. With that being said, I will he continuing our 2029 rankings coverage by focusing on some players who have caught my attention but are just outside the top five at their position. To kick things off, here are some under the radar quarterbacks to keep an eye on in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1650972' first='Tanner' last='Stutler'] split time as the starting varsity quarterback for Ashland throughout the majority of his freshman year but seemed to establish himself as the primary starter towards the end of the season. In nine games, Tanner completed 35/68 passes for 615 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions. He has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field with ease in the deep pass game. Stutler has also shown the ability to put a good amount of touch on his passes, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also scored one rushing touchdown as a freshman. Tanner will be a player worth keeping a close eye on as he continues to develop moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1668011' first='Austin' last='Jacobson'] served as the Tigers' JV quarterback as a freshman and he showed a ton of promise in the role. He is a true dual-threat quarterback who is very reliable when asked to run the option. When keeping the ball as a ball carrier, he has shown the speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away for a big gain at any given moment. As a passer, he has shown the ability to make throws on the run with ease while also showing impressive accuracy. Jacobson is a quarterback who I'm excited to see how his career progresses as he moves up to the varsity level.

[player_tooltip player_id='868214' first='Cooper' last='Scott'] played in mainly a backup/JV role as a freshman but together some impressive film with the opportunities he was given. Scott is an accurate passer, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receivers can catch them. He also has a strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. In limited varsity action, he completed 9/13 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. He has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and use his speed and strength as a ball carrier to pick up big gains on the ground. Cooper will be an intriguing player to keep an eye on as his role in the Pikeville offense grows over the next few years.

The final under the radar quarterback in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky who has caught my attention is [player_tooltip player_id='1613001' first='Xavier' last='Gregory']. Gregory served as Southwestern's JV quarterback this past season and put together some impressive freshman year film. Xavier throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to hit his receivers in stride with ease. He has also shown the ability to roll out of the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Gregory will be a quarterback worth keeping an eye on as he continues to develop and earn more opportunities on the varsity level.
