The Class of 2028 in Indiana is starting to make waves as several prospects saw their recruiting blow up during the NCAA evaluation period. Our rankings update for the class features plenty of movers and shakers, and based on in-person evaluations, four prospects in-particular made serious rises and punched their tickets into the top 12.

Most of the prospects inside the top 12 are virtually interchangeable with little difference from No. 1 to No. 12; meaning, any of them could shift higher or lower. We'll definitely be monitoring how their junior seasons go this fall.

Positional flexibility is a big deal, and that's why New Palestine's [player_tooltip player_id='1924893' first='Sam' last='Hirschy'] slides in as our top edge prospect. Hirschy has played both outside and inside on the defensive line, and has the frame to play either/or at the next level. At defensive tackle he can be a force with great anchor strength and his first-step quickness makes him a disruptive force. He has good edge speed and can run the hoop from his spot at DE, and he also contributes on offense as a tough run blocker at OT.

[player_tooltip player_id='1955225' first='Maddox' last='Weil'] is a proven playmaker by now. His top-10 ranking needs no explanation: he is an elite route runner and strong receiver who can be very crafty over the middle of the field. He is a big-time returner for Northrop High School this fall. With outstanding burst, speed and acceleration after the catch, he is a dynamic playmaker. He stood out at the Indiana Preps Winter Showcase in Noblesville last month.

The Brebeuf defensive tackle is a very athletic player and slides into our #3 spot. For a 6-foot-4, 265-pound prospect, he is a very good edge rusher with strong pass rush skills, a high motor, great first-step quickness and takes great angles to the quarterback. Rogers is likely a defensive tackle at the next level, where his quickness and ability to plug the middle v. the run would be invaluable. Holds multiple Power 4 offers and the best is yet to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893441' first='Drake' last='Coellner'] is our top defensive back prospect in the Hoosier State for good reason: he is a very ‘complete' safety with great ball skills in coverage and against the run, he is a thumper. Tough, fast and instinctive, he can get downhill in a hurry and deliver heavy hits. Coellner has multiple Power 4 offers and more are certain to come his way in the near future.
