Spring practice is right around the corner. A lot of prospects across Tennessee have emerged and etched their names as stars in their respective classifications. With much of the transfer portal calmed down for now, I'm scouting the top players at each position in each class.

Next in this series, I'll discuss Division II-A offensive linemen. Here's a scouting report of my top five blockers in DII-A.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='705894' first='Kaden' last='Buchanan'] – Friendship Christian School

[player_tooltip player_id='705894' first='Kaden' last='Buchanan'] is the clear-cut best offensive lineman in this classification. The consensus high three-star comes in as the No. 3 offensive lineman in Tennessee, with all the physical tools and honed skills to back it up.

He has a massive build for a high school lineman, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 332 pounds with a well-built frame and good length. Buchanan plays tackle but has the versatility to play on either side, with the ability also to bump inside.

The rising senior is highly physical, comes with violent intentions, shows sound technique and possesses strong hands that help him blow defenders off the line.

He's a good pass blocker, but he impresses in the run game. Due to his size, technique and great physical strength, he's nearly impossible to stop, especially once he gets those big hands on you. Buchanan holds offers from several top-tier P4 programs, and it's easy to see why.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1567255' first='Colin' last='Romero'] – Nashville Christian School

[player_tooltip player_id='1567255' first='Colin' last='Romero'] is one of the premier offensive tackles in this class, playing on the right side for the two-time defending state champion Nashville Christian Eagles. He offers solid size for his position, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 280 pounds, allowing him to stay mobile and remain highly athletic.

The 2027 prospect is a productive offensive lineman across the board, blocking very well on pass plays and being a people mover in the run game. He was a Prep Redzone All-State selection, but I don't think he gets the state-wide recognition that he probably deserves. Romero is one of the better trench players in Tennessee at a premier position.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2135990' first='Noah' last='Britt'] – University School of Jackson

[player_tooltip player_id='2135990' first='Noah' last='Britt'] is coming off a standout 2025 campaign, where he earned Prep Redzone All-State honors. He's an interior lineman who offers good size and solid athleticism. The rising senior stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 280 pounds, with a lean frame, allowing him to move well and reach the next level quickly.

While he needs to tweak some things, Britt shows raw power and strong hands. He's a solid pass protector, but I love watching him move people in the run game. The 2027 prospect excels in that area while working all over the field with his quickness and football instincts.

2027 Jacob Crews – Middle Tennessee Christian School

Jacob Crews from Middle Tennessee Christian is an intriguing player. He's coming off a good 2025 season, in which he was a Prep redzone All-State selection. The rising senior is slightly undersized, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 250 pounds, but he has the tools to make up for what he may lack in size.

I like what he offers in the run game. Crews is a physical player with strong hands who gets off the ball quickly and strikes opposing players before they can get a shot at him. He does a good job of blowing defenders off the line and opening lanes for his running backs. The 2027 prospect gets to the next level efficiently and possesses solid instincts.

He's productive in pass protection, but his run blocking is his best ability to me. If he can add just a tad more size heading into his senior season, I think you'll see more collegiate interest.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='933036' first='Joshua' last='O'Neal'] – University School of Jackson

[player_tooltip player_id='933036' first='Joshua' last='O'Neal'] is another intriguing player who was one of the better offensive linemen in his classification last season. He's a smaller player, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 225 pounds, but is highly athletic for his position and plays with violent intentions.

He's a good all-around player, but is best in the run game. O'Neal is physical, has strong hands and plays with a high motor, allowing him to fire off the ball and hit defenders quickly. Ultimately, he needs to grow to fully unlock his potential, but the rising senior is a solid player on the second-best program in Division II-A.
