One of the top overall quarterbacks from the 2026 class, Curtis had another sensational season with the Eagles where the 6 '4 quarterback led his Nashville Christian team to back to back state championships. Curtis, who is already on campus at Vanderbilt, did a lot of damage throughout the 2026 season where he put up strong numbers both through the air and on the ground. His presence behind center was difficult to handle for the opposition as Curtis was a man among boys on this level that did just about anything he wanted whenever his number was called. Curtis will go down as one of the best players to ever come out of the Volunteer State and he has a chance to be special during his time with the Commodores.

Fullen may go down as one of the more underrated prospects from our TN2026 class that did nothing but produce at a high level every time he stepped onto the field. The Rebels senior back ended up leading the D2-Class A ranks in rushing at 1,979 yards with 30 touchdowns while averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Fullen is a bigger back that runs well for his size while showing excellent vision and a sneaky second gear that helped find the end zone on a consistent basis. He also showed the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield by producing 25 receptions for 313 yards and one score. Fullen remains available on the open market as well, so he is still out there for the taking.

It was stiff competition for our defensive player of the year with several players up for consideration but in the end, it was hard to look past Bowman and his exceptional sophomore campaign. Competing as a first year starter, Bowman made a big splash by producing 155 total tackles with 19.5 of them for loss along with 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception and 16 sacks on the year. The Knights sophomore linebacker was a tackling machine last year that displayed excellent instincts and a nose for the ball that should only improve as Bowman continues to grow and learn the game further. Having this kind of season puts Bowman on the radar to earn this honor again before his high school career is over.

- The Eagles had the best overall offense throughout the 2026 season with their offensive line being a major factor behind everything. Watching how the O-line performed all season long, the Eagles front five dominated the competition while showing cohesiveness and displaying equal strong play behind their run blocking and pass protection. The great thing about the Eagles O-line moving forward is several key players like Romero, Newberry and others are returning for the 2027 season, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the NCS front five earn this award yet again.

Derrick Pritchard - USJ

- Even though the Bruins fell one game short of winning the D2-Class A state title, they still got there while winning their region in a season that had a lot of unknowns headed into the year. Coach Pritchard and his staff did a great job of identifying players for starting roles and developing them into impactful players while also pushing veteran guys like Pugh and others to new levels. This program has been a constant winner under the teaching of Coach Pritchard and I expect the Bruins to remain at the top of their classification next year with several key players returning.

(QB POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='446208' first='Cayden' last='Creech'] - USJ ‘27: The Bruins reached the D2-Class A state title game last Fall with Creech being a major reason why. This rising senior signal caller had a strong junior campaign that saw him throw for 2,563 yards and 33 touchdowns on 140 completions while ending the season with a 141.2 quarterback rating. If Creech develops further this off-season, he could be the leading candidate to achieve Mr. Football and PRZTN D2-Class A player of the year for the 2026 football year.

(RB POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1126012' first='Jackson' last='Pugh'] - USJ: While Creech had a breakout year at quarterback, the Bruins wouldn't have had one of the better offensive units on the D2-Class A last year without the play from Pugh. This outgoing senior back went out with a bang by rushing for 1,872 yards on 247 carries while averaging 7.5 yards per carry and scoring 21 touchdowns on the season.

(WR POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1103503' first='Gabriel' last='Lee'] - TCA: This West Tennessee talent could have been considered for multiple positions within our postseason honors but his work at receiver stood out and proved to be a difference maker for the Lions last Fall. Lee was the team's top playmaker that generated 47 receptions for 955 yards on the year along with 18 touchdowns while averaging 20.3 yards per catch and for some reason, he is still available on the open market.

(OL POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1567255' first='Colin' last='Romero'] - NCS ‘27: Romero took a massive step in his progression last season where he purely dominated the line of scrimmage and paved the way for the best O-line unit coming out of the D2-Class A ranks. Handling tackle for his Eagles O-line, Romero displayed a nice combination of pass protection and run blocking while showing the potential to remain on the outside in college. How he develops this off-season will go a long way towards staying outside and boosting his overall stock.

(DL POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1855561' first='Gideon' last='Knox'] - FCS ‘28: The 2025 season was a coming out party for this Mid-Tennessee product that saw him generate a monster sophomore campaign. Knox ended the year with 88 total tackles from his defensive tackle position along with 28 tackles for loss, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and 9 sacks on the year. That's a tremendous debut year from Knox and the great thing is the Commanders D-lineman has two years left of high school ball.

(LB POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1049318' first='Hank' last='Miller'] - TCA: This West Tennessee product has been a tackling machine for multiple seasons with his senior year being possibly his best. Miller is tactician with high football knowledge that consistently found the football throughout the 2025 season. He ended the year producing 125 total tackles with 13 of them for loss, 1 pass defended and 3 sacks. Miller was also a key player on offense where he generated 940 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns.

(DB POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1116798' first='KeAndre' last='Gibson'] - NCS: Signed to play his college ball at Arkansas State, Gibson had a stellar final high school season last Fall where he proved to be the best lock down cover corner coming out of the D2-Class A ranks. This future Sun Belt performer shut down one side of the field for his Eagles defense where he produced 34 total tackles with 1 fumble recovery, 10 passes defended and 7 interceptions on the season.

(ATH POTY) [player_tooltip player_id='1031934' first='Dasani' last='Moulden'] - Concord Chrst. ‘29: Moulden made a big impression during his first year with the Lions as the team's top overall playmaker and best two-way performer. For his freshman campaign, this East Tennessee product produced 48 receptions for 734 yards and 6 touchdowns on offense while also being a ball hawk on defense with his team leading 4 interceptions.
