As customary with my event coverage, I feverishly write as many notes as I can, as quickly as I can, in order to report on as many prospects as I can. In this feature from Prep Redzone Next's New Jersey Exposure Camp, I share my positional notes for the group aforementioned in this article's title. More coverage on different groups will be forthcoming in the days to follow, so be sure to check back later!

A prospect that I wish I would have the opportunity to see sling the rock with his boys was [player_tooltip player_id='2066815' first='Tyler' last='Masella']. Masella looks like an absolute natural at quarterback. With a pretty motion, he is able to execute outstanding throws to all parts of the field. Unfortunately, Masella did not have adequate time to develop timing rapport with the camp's receivers... It was a similar situation for [player_tooltip player_id='2086825' first='Ronald' last='Kahn III']. The one rep that I caught Kahn take, he and his receiver were on different pages entirely. It seems as though a different route was ran than he expected or the throw was not aligned with the route run (vice-versa)... Contrarily, [player_tooltip player_id='1508894' first='Vincent' last='Venuto'] was a bit more casual with his approach to quarterbacking. That said, I did think this approach made Venuto's release a bit slower than the rest of the group.

Whether young quarterback's believe it or not, the success of their throws begin with their lower half. At a young age a bug must have gotten into [player_tooltip player_id='1856741' first='William' last='Mitchell']'s ear. I watched Mitchell routinely shift his weight, snapping off strong, accurate throws. Although his throws could get out a bit sooner, he did a nice job putting touch on his 5050 balls... With so much talent around, I did not get the best of loops at [player_tooltip player_id='1277979' first='Austin' last='Marchetti']. Marchetti was named a top performer by his positional coaches who worked with him at the camp. Despite this it appears that I only got one glimpse of him. I recorded that he should focus on leading his receiver a bit more on that particular throw in order for them to accrue YAC.

Some quarterbacks just love to sling the rock - and I think this is the case of [player_tooltip player_id='2110576' first='Colby' last='Martin']. Martin threw definitive strikes all throughout the morning. Some of these throws, honestly, were a bit too hot to handle for some of the receivers. Never the less, Martin got the ball out with urgency, immediacy, and power.

The final two prospects competing today either registered at quarterback and then elected to play a different position, or they took reps elsewhere to get in additional work... I saw 5'10" [player_tooltip player_id='1645265' first='Joseph' last='Casario'] take a few reps at receiver. Almost as if he was coaching up others in that position group, he did an outstanding job of using his body to box out opponents, forcing them to work through him, in order to play the ball. Casario must, however, focus on converting the catch... With size like [player_tooltip player_id='1905594' first='CJ' last='Gourley']'s (6'3", 213lbs) and youth on your side (2030 graduate), you can likely play any position on the field. Despite being listed as a QB, bib number 149 took a rep at receiver. I think Gourley tried to do a bit too much on the one route I caught him on. Attempting to run a slant, Gourley chose to take an outside release and was unable to work across the face of the defensive back. About three coaches immediately popped up like groundhogs to correct him, affording Gourley a very teachable moment.
