We wrap up our top 10 quarterback rankings within our North Dakota 2027 rankings with showing off the best of the best in this class. This group features quarterbacks with great upside, quick deliveries, and one of the better groups from a mechanics perspective I have seen in a top 5 group in a while.

Moving up to the QB5 spot is [player_tooltip player_id='1625989' first='Emerson' last='Marum'] out of Bottineau, who had an impressive junior season with the Braves as 11A runner ups. He logged over 2000 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards along with 37 touchdowns. He's one of the more impressive quarterbacks in this group when it comes to his ball placement on deep and intemediate routes and shows to be cool, calm, and collective when under duress. It's hard to tell that Emerson loses a step when he throws from the run as a probable move up by next 2027 rankings update in North Dakota that looks like a scholarship-talent in my eyes.

Another 2027 quarterback prospect that entered our top 5 in this group is [player_tooltip player_id='1322096' first='Hudson' last='Rietschel'] of Northern Cass, who was in my top-tier performers at our winter Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. Another quarterback that is not phased under duress and can find his targets well on vertical routes when under pressure. He also shows off a quick release that identifies quickly whne his WRs get seperation downfield. He does a sound job with balance with his throws as his touch is persistently on the money with his receiving core from a timing perspective. Another one that has a great shot of playing scholarship football on Saturdays.

Coming in as our QB3 in the 2027 rankings in North Dakota, is [player_tooltip player_id='1292702' first='Brody' last='Kegley'] of Central Cass. Brody has developed nicely over the last couple of years for the Squirrels offense by creating more balance with his touch and arm strength and surely excels in the precision skillset. The now 6'0 170 pounder, I feel might make some of the tougher throws you will see on intermediate routes in this group as his timing when under duress with his wide receivers is just about spot on especially when he and the Squirrels offense are in the red zone. Hope to see more live reps out of this young man over the coming months at camps.

It was evident when I watched Ethan on tape from his junior season that Ethan's persistency in tight windows and under pressure that this young man can make throws almost out of nowhere while outside the pocket. He shows off a very quick release and sound mechanics when he's able to lock in inside the pocket and is able to use his precision throws to his advantage on intermeidate routes. Ethan is one that has great upside to grow over the summer and beyond in this top 5 quarterback group out of North Dakota.

Our QB1 in this 2027 North Dakota class comes from the Dickinson Mavericks and is one that I felt has the best mechanics, downfield arm sterngth, and speedy release which is why we placed him in that QB1 spot. What sticks out with Nathan right away, is how proactive he is when he reaches his second read as he wastes no time getting the ball out quickly and has one of the bigger arms on deep routes you will in this quarterback group. Nathan has ideal size at 6'2 205 pounds and with that you also get a quarterback that plays linebacker too, so surely there is fluidity with his movement getting out of the pocket with ease.
