The annual King of Da Boot 7-on-7 tournament drew a huge turnout of both talented teams and supporting crowds to Acadiana this weekend for two days of action.

Several of Louisiana's top prospects from rising seniors down to the younger age groups were in attendance and provided standout performances for their respective organizations — all leading to F3 Elite holding off The Duke Academy, 20-12, for the 18U title.

Here's a look at a few of the eye-catchers who caught our attention on the offensive side of the ball during 18U bracket play Sunday.

A couple of notes: We saved a pair of two-way standouts for the defensive/two-way post.

Also, as always, these "eye-catchers" notes are not necessarily intended as definitive "top performers" lists — particularly in settings such as 7-on-7 where there are multiple fields going simultaneously and catching everything happening at once is not possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='469475' first='Jaylan' last='Ash'] — 6-0, 160 WR — Destrehan (2027)

and [player_tooltip player_id='1251692' first='Ronald' last='Cash'] — 6-1, 165 WR — John F. Kennedy (2027)

Some of the biggest highlight-reel plays of the day came from rising senior Brother Martin quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='734706' first='Hudson' last='Fields'] to his long, lean targets downfield for the New Orleans area-based Fleaux. Particularly in an early-bracket matchup against Louisianimals, Fields hit Cash in stride a few times early for big chunk plays, then found Ash for leaping touchdowns in the back of the end zone to send fans into hysterics at the acrobatic and electric catches.

Jake Jacketti — 5-9, 170 WR — Mandeville (2027)

and [player_tooltip player_id='1372189' first='Kenric' last='Johnson Jr.'] — 5-9, 160 ATH — Riverside Academy (2028)

Another New Orleans area-based team, The Duke Academy, saw big performances from its smaller, quicker weapons as Jacketti and Johnson took turns gashing opposing teams over the middle and after the catch. Jacketti is the most under-the-radar name on this list from a prospect standpoint, but had a big junior season this fall and appears to be carrying that success right into the offseason. Johnson meanwhile is the lone name here not in the 2027 class as he continues to make his presence felt even against older competition — just as he has going back even before high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='739720' first='Jayden' last='Miles'] — 6-2, 210 RB — Catholic-Baton Rouge (2027)

Baton Rouge-based F3 Elite had a slew of standout performances on its way to the title, including a couple impressive two-way efforts from [player_tooltip player_id='739753' first='Landon' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1372155' first='Calvin' last='Ursin'] we'll touch more upon on the defensive/two-way article. Miles was right there among the biggest eye-catchers in a star-studded showing overall by the team, epitomized by a streaking 40-yard bomb on the first play of the title game on which he ran right through the opposing defense, haul in the deep touchdown and then celebrated with flips in the end zone — an impressive showcase of the big, physical running back's well-rounded game and all-around athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='934559' first='Javon' last='Vital Jr.'] — 5-10, 195 ATH — Lake Charles College Prep (2027)

Few, if any, players around the state have been more versatile the past few years than Vital. The multisport standout earned LSWA Class 1A all-state nods as a kick returner in 2024 and quarterbacks in 2025 for Hamilton Christian and Louisiana vs. All Y'all D.J. Chark Return Weapon of the Year this fall, but is projected as likely a running back or wide receiver at the next level and is able to focus more on that type of role in the 7-on-7 format with his 4th Quarter Mentality squad. Vital has developed notably bigger and stronger the past couple of years, but is one of the most dynamic athletes on the field every time he competes including an array of highlights over the weekend.
