Jerry Flora Showcase: Defensive Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last weekend I braved the frigid Saturday Weather to attend Jerry Flora's Showcase in Randolph New Jersey. There were around 50 athletes from across the North East, and multiple players at Graduate Schools in attendance. I was there for a few hours, and saw multiple impressive athletes. In this article I will feature a few of these defensive playmakers, and how they raised their stock in my eyes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While NY has had their Stock Up Showcase, many other states still have showcases. In Warwick, at our Prep Redzone NY Showcase, we had him switch to the DB side for reps. He was extremely impressive, and backed that up at Jerry Flora's Showcase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Areche was a natural leader, and was calling out plays from the Safety, and CB positions on the defensive side of the ball. He was excellent in coverage and was great at tracking the ball across the field. On the offensive side he found himself open a lot. In Warwick, we saw a raw young version of Grigsby who was learning a ton of skills at the DB position. At Jerry Flora's Showcase, he showed how much he had improved. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grigsby Jr, had an excellent showcase in Randolph. I liked his footwork a lot, and his Press Techniques easily improved, stopping players at the line. In coverage, he showcased an elite ability to track the ball, and showcased good hands, allowing him to make plays on the ball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
