Five Dalton Player to Know on Defense

The defense had some struggles this season, but they eventually got better thanks to the younger pieces they have. He took the biggest step up throughout the season, as he got better every game. I anticipate him to be a captain for this team, which will be huge, as he is paired up with someone else on this list. Long has done a great job growing as a linebacker after seeing some reps at running back in his first season with the Catamounts. His second season was great, as he held his own and is getting better on a day-by-day basis. Long has done a great job when it comes to filling a hole. He is fast and quick, which is needed for his position group. Thanks to the growth he has had this offseason, the talented prospect will likely have more reps to work with in the next season. I believe he will be the biggest X-Factor on this roster, and he has the chance to become a great player as long as he gets the opportunity to prove his worth. He has done a great job with his development and is working to get better every day, as he has already started to receive offers from many of the top schools in the nation. Some of the schools he has received offers from are Ole Miss, North Carolina, Boston College, and a few others. I believe he will be offered by many of the schools he has on his list. I always believed that the defensive side of the football was where he made the most damage. Summey has the chance to become one of the better two-way players in the area and the state, as he will be a key part of both the offense and the defense for the Dalton Catamounts.
