The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit made our first ever stop in The Sunshine State this weekend as The Central Florida Charge tourney took place at The Villages Charter School. We had over 50 teams from 18U down to 10U and the action was outstanding from start to finish. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Florida for a ton of content coming out of the tournament and be sure to follow our social channels as well for even more video content! In this breakdown, we put the spotlight on the playmakers in the 18U division that stood out in a major way.

Avery Weigert - 2028 Wide Receiver - 1 Stop Elite

Avery Weigert is the only 2028 prospect on this breakdown but he immediately got our attention on Saturday morning. While playing with 1 Stop Elite, Weigert was making some huge plays, specifically in the red zone. The two attributes that really stood out to us was his length and then the leaping ability. He was already a match-up problem for undersized cornerbacks and then you combine that with his ability to leap up and snag a pass that looked like it was destined to be overthrown and you have a match-up nightmare. He consistently climbed the ladder to snatch the ball out of the air on Saturday.

Carlos Lemons - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Team Elite All The Smoke

If you're looking for an MVP of the 18U division, it might have been 2027 WR/DB Carlos Lemons with Team Elite All The Smoke. Starting on Saturday, Lemons immediately established himself as one of the top playmakers in the division. That high caliber play only continued on Sunday, as their team made a run to the 18U championship. And in that championship game, it was Lemons that made big plays to help secure the win in overtime. Recently, Lemons started to see his recruitment pick up in a major way. It's easy to see why that's the case after watching him absolutely dominate from start to finish this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2130480' first='Daveon' last='Belhomme'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - STP Elite

STP Elite 2027 wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='2130480' first='Daveon' last='Belhomme'] was a prospect that immediately passed the eye test when you watched him in person this weekend. It's hard not to be impressed with his overall build and then you see the athleticism on full display and on both sides of the ball. For us, Belhomme really stood out on defense but that's not to suggest he wasn't also making plays on offense. We just watched him essentially lock down one side of the field during one pool play game on Saturday. Speaking of that, we also had Belhomme mic'd up for that game during pool play on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131924' first='Marcus' last='Melbourne'] - 2027 Wide Receiver - Outlawz National

The final 18U playmaker on this breakdown was one of the final standouts that we watched on Saturday during pool play. 2027 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2131924' first='Marcus' last='Melbourne'] made some huge plays at the wide receiver position for Outlawz National. In fact, in their last game of pool play, Melbourne might have had the best touchdown catch of the day, and there were plenty of them. But that was just one of many big plays that he made throughout the afternoon and that play continued on Sunday. Melbourne is a wide receiver that seemed like he lived for those big moments and definitely belonged under the "playmaker" umbrella.
