Florida has long been a hotbed for high school football talent. Year after year, the Sunshine State produces some of the nation's most electric prospects. From game-breaking speed to next-level agility and pure, raw athleticism, Florida athletes consistently set the tone on Friday nights, and college coaches across the country take notice.   With the 2025 season now in the rearview, we're turning our focus to the players whose stock is rising across the state. Every athlete on this list has the tools to play at the next level. Some already hold multiple offers, while others are just beginning to gain traction, but all possess the ability to compete in college football in the right fit.   This group features a mix of nationally regarded standouts and under-the-radar sleepers who deserve serious attention from college programs. Simply put, this list is loaded with difference-makers. Jamey Blunt – RB, Master's Academy Height/Weight: 5'11", 175 lbs Season Stats: 1,147 rushing yards, 172 carries (6.7 avg), 10 TDs; long of 73 yards over 12 games. 11 rec 81 yds 1 td.   Scouting Report: Blunt is a highly productive, workhorse running back with excellent vision and burst. He shows the ability to handle a heavy workload while maintaining efficiency, and he adds value as a receiver out of the backfield with reliable hands.   Analysis: As a rising sophomore in the class of 2029, Blunt projects as a featured back with strong early production. His 1,100+ yard season as a freshman gives him a great foundation to become a dominant back in the years ahead.   Maddox Shaw – RB/FB, Franklin County High Height/Weight: 5'10", 185 lbs Season Stats: 829 rushing yards, 132 carries (6.3 avg), 10 TDs; long of 34 yards over 11 games. 8 rec 80 yds. Recognized as one of the best freshman players in the Florida Panhandle.   Scouting Report: Shaw is a physical, tough runner who consistently moves the chains and finishes runs strong. He shows good balance between the tackles and contributes in the passing game, making him a reliable all-around back.   Analysis: As a class of 2029 player, Shaw projects as a dependable featured back. Being recognized as one of the top freshmen in the Panhandle highlights his early promise and bright future.   Matthew Paul – RB, Aucilla Christian High Height/Weight: N/A Season Stats: 532 rushing yards, 93 carries (5.7 avg), 3 TDs; long of 37 yards over 10 games. 10 rec for 135 yds and 1 td.   Scouting Report: Paul is a versatile back who shows good receiving skills out of the backfield. He runs with solid vision and contributes steadily as both a rusher and pass catcher, giving his offense multiple ways to utilize him.   Analysis: As a class of 2029 player, Paul projects as a multi-dimensional back with good hands and football instincts. His ability to contribute in both the run and pass game gives him strong upside moving forward.   Troy Reddin – RB, Atlantic High Height/Weight: 5'10", 150 lbs Season Stats: 431 rushing yards, 48 carries (9.0 avg), 1 TD; 4 rec 56 yds over 9 games.   Scouting Report: Reddin is an explosive, efficient runner who makes the most of his touches. He shows good burst and the ability to create big plays, averaging a strong 9.0 yards per carry as a freshman.   Analysis: As a class of 2029 player, Reddin projects as a big-play threat with impressive efficiency. His ability to break big runs gives him high upside as he continues to develop.   William Hughes – RB, Sarasota Christian Height/Weight: 5'8", 150 lbs Season Stats: 419 rushing yards, 89 carries (4.7 avg), 3 TDs; long of 29 yards over 11 games. 9 rec 76 yds.   Scouting Report: Hughes is a quick, tough, and dependable back who consistently works hard between the tackles. He shows reliable hands as a receiver and the ability to contribute in multiple ways on offense.   Analysis: As a class of 2029 player, Hughes projects as a gritty, versatile back with good production. His toughness and reliability make him a valuable contributor with room to grow.   Jeremiah Taylor – RB, Oak Hall High Height/Weight: 5'10", 170 lbs Season Stats: 379 rushing yards, 44 carries (8.6 avg), 5 TDs; long of 36 yards over 6 games. 3 rec 20 yds.   Scouting Report: Taylor is an explosive runner with strong efficiency and scoring ability. Despite fewer games played, he shows good burst, vision, and the ability to finish runs in the end zone.
