Central Indiana Studs Added to the 2028 Rankings

We added hundreds of prospects to our rankings in Indiana last month for the Class of 2028. In our next article and multi-part series, we break down four new additions and will continue to do so throughout the months of February and March. These four early risers have a chance to become high-impact players in the fall and beyond.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678555' first='Jacob' last='Baron'] has a high ceiling to become one of the best linebackers in the state by the time the fall season concludes. Barron has a high motor as both a run defender and pass rusher. He is consistently a strong pass rusher, he flashes great instincts and flows to the ball. As a pass rusher he can deliver heavy hits and wreck havoc on opposing quarterbacks with his edge speed as a blitzer. At 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, he has a frame college coaches covet.

Nathan Stokes is a high-upside prospect. When we visited Warren Central a couple of weeks ago, Coach Whitaker mentioned him as a key name to watch. Stokes displays good vision, balance and burst as a running back, and on defense he has great closing speed. He plays with great effort, chasing down running backs who get in space. Stokes is a strong off-tackle runner and has enough juice to be a home-run threat. A breakout junior season will boost his recruiting stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='2119952' first='Silas' last='Cross'] is a blossoming 2028 linebacker for Avon. Cross is a very good run defender, and flashes strength around the goal line, making timely tackles, taking great angles and flashing good instincts. Cross has the chance to be dynamite on special teams with good straight-line speed. He recorded 58 total tackles in 2025; expect bigger numbers in 2026.

Da'Master Holland flashes potential to be a high-impact player for the Greyhounds in 2026. Holland flashes being a strong blocker in the run game. He is still a bit raw as a receiver and route runner, but he has time to learn, grow and develop in those aspects of his game over the next two seasons.
