Manuel moved up from the watchlist to the official rankings with his breakout sophomore season in the fall. The 6'2"/180 dual-threat out of Hoover passed for 3,000 yards and rushed for another 1,000 while racking up 39 total TDs in 2025. He's a mobile passer that excels at evading the rush and creating off-script with his speed and natural arm talent. He's a dangerous runner with the ball in his hands that can make defenders miss in space, possesses the velocity to rip into tight windows, and can vary his arm angles to get the ball out clean. Manuel is established as one of the top 2028 QBs in San Diego.

Eilerts moved up from the watchlist to the #22-OL spot in our latest update to the 2028 rankings with his strong play at LT for Torrey Pines last season. He's a stalwart in pass protection that can move his feet to stay in front and uses his hands to dislodge and disrupt oncoming rushers. Holds good length to his 6'4"/265 frame with seemingly room to grow and add mass/strength as he continues to develop. Eilerts is on the radar of San Diego's 2028 OL to monitor heading into next season.

Harris continued to build off his breakout freshman season with a strong sophomore campaign in 2025. The 6'1"/180 QB out of San Diego HS passed for over 2,100 yards and 17 TDs and rushed for another 3 TDs last season. He's an accurate distributor from the pocket that gets the ball out on time, hits receivers in stride, and possesses the arm strength to challenge the secondary over the top. He'll need to cut down on the turnovers (13 INTs last season) but his natural ability as a passer offers strong upside. Harris is a rising young QB to keep an eye on.

Mayers jumped from the 2028 watchlist to the official rankings after taking over as the primary playmaker out of the backfield for Santana last season. The 6'/166 RB rushed for 500 yards and 3 TDs on 158 carries as a sophomore. He's a savvy ball-carrier that shows his balance and toughness picking up yards after contact. He deploys good footwork, agility, and vision finding running room in narrow spaces around the LOS. Mayers is an underrated playmaker to keep tabs on as he continues to grow and develop.
